Can you dance?

Here I am listening to Duran Duran, Culture Club, Doug E. Fresh, After the Fire (Der Kamisar?), Asia, Wham, and various other 80's artists. I just realized I basically dance the same to every song, even though they all have different beats.

I am tragically "white". If you've seen the Eddie Murphy video where he makes fun of white people who are out dancing, that is me.

So, can you dance? If so, do you know what the latest dance moves are? If I walked into any club right now, I'm sure I'd be labled as an old geezer (at 33) and I would stick out like a sore thumb. And I'd try to apply my dance moves to whatever song was playing! ;)

Nope, I can't dance.:o Well, I might can Fonzi dance.:p

Tigh, if you're a geezer, so am I (we're the same age;) ).

Yes I can.....and I love to dance too.

Nope not a step

OMG, Browneyes, what is Fonzi dance? Do you just give a thumbs up or can you just slow dance? ;)

Ok, I realized I CAN dance to merengue and salsa songs, but only if I lead...

Oops, I forgot my e on Fonzie.:o I think I could manage dancing like Fonzie used to dance (a little slower than slow dancing:teeth: But the guy would have to have on Fonzie's leather jacket too:teeth: ).

Here's a Fonzie type dance.:)

Not even a little bit. Tragically rhythm impaired. I love music, I love watching people dance, but to see me, it is just too painful to watch.

Yes, I can dance. :) My friends have a dancing nickname for me, let's just say they think I have rhythm. ;)

I love to dance, but only when I'm skinnier than I am now:rolleyes: it just doesn't turn out like I want it to when my tummy has it's own rhythm!

I THINK I can usually after a couple of wines:o
Actually I do still take dance classes. My SIL owns a dance studio and she has an adult class. I have been dancing in her classes since I was little kid and she was the teachers assistant.

Yup. I LOVE to dance. I still take ballet classes (still on pointe too, at my ripe 'ol age :D).

Unfortunately, my DH can't dance his way out of a paper bag. I keep telling him; in my next lifetime, I'm going to marry a man that can dance.

Tig H-- You are funny! "Tragically white"... so true.. DH and I (he's in his 40's & I'm in my 30"s) .. laugh at the three step 80's dance.

I can slam dance! (In fact I won a contest doing that)

DH can slow dance a little, but will never "fast" dance.

I make Elaine on Seinfeld when she danced at the office Christmas party look like Ginger Rodgers!:bounce:

I love to dance. I have a decent amount of natural rhythm I guess. Which is about my only musical quality, I sure can't sing or play an instrument.

DH is a fabulous dancer though, much better than I am. And he likes to dance, too, which is unusual for a man. Whenever we go to weddings, DH has to dance with all the women who's husbands refuse to dance with them. :)
