Can resorts download ticket to key you bought elsewhere?

Hi,

If I buy park tickets from authorized ticket seller, when I check into the hotel, can the resort transfer it to my room key, so I don't lose it and so it's plastic?

Or can they only do that if you buy the tickets from them?


Also, if they can do it, do they take aware your paper ticket, or can you keep the deactivated ticket as another keepsake? Many thanks.

Last year I stayed at the Poly and bought my tickets from undercovertourist...i think...When I got there, the concierge transfered my tickets to the room key without a problem..AND we got to keep the tickets too.they just weren't worth anything.

That was last June

Thanks. I guess I'll give it a try, and it won't be a big deal if I cant, the savings are worth carrying an extra card, if I have to!

Yes, they can.

However, be prepared in case you get a CM that is uneducated in how to do so. Last summer we stayed at CR and the CM working the concierge desk was quite adamant that it couldn't be done because "Disney did not get the money for these tickets". (I had purchased our tickets from undercovertourist.com.) I asked him if Disney didn't get the money, who did??

After a little persistance on my part, he got a manager who showed him how to add our tickets to our room keys. All in all, even with the disagreement, it took less than 10 minutes.

So no matter what they tell you, it can be done!
