2026 MMB info Announced

I didn't buy it in 2025, but looks like I will buy it in 2026 because I'll use the Memory Maker and possibly the OTUP since I seem to keep borrowing my points. Not sure if I'll make to Aulani in 2026, but would definitely use the photo if I did.

I do agree that MMP shouldn't have priority access to the lounges, but I will use it if I happen to be going to lounge. I think they blew it by telling people they get lounge access when buying direct and then made members who bought direct second in line. Very bad juju.

When you buy the Sorcerer's Pass with points, does your pass activate that same day? Is it an option to purchase and not activate it for a while? I'm just pondering if I were to purchase it at the end of next year and not use it until a few months later. That might be a worthwhile thing for me to do for my 2027 visit(s).

You have a year to activate it after purchase, just like a cash annual pass

I am curious what the ticket prices will be. Does anyone remember if they released the 2025 ticket prices when MMB went on sale or were they release mid-January when the benefits actually became active?

Looked up the math for my summer '26 trip based on last year's discount prices for that week, and buying one-day Sunday tickets as an add-on negates any value unfortunately. It's cheaper to buy a 7-day park hopper plus than the 5-day weekday MMB park hopper + 1-day park-specific single day ticket at AK, the cheapest single-day park option.
I wouldn’t add on a 1 day… the 1-2 day tickets are ludicrously priced. It would be making Sunday a resort day.

Well, I guess since you are OK with all the changes, Disney should go back to charging for parking as well, things like that...

I get that things change. In fact, we have been big DVC fans since we joined in 2007, however, like you said, it's getting to be a different program, and quite honestly, this past year, we've seriously considered downsizing our points. To run with the credit card example, we 'used to' be able to use our Disney Visa to earn Reward Dollars that we could pay monthly on our annual dues and it worked great. Well, they made that much more difficult this past year, but instead of just saying "oh well" and keeping that card, we just got rid of it and got a different card that had a rewards scheme we valued more.

We 'used to' have annual passes and go to WDW at least 3-4 times a year (we are an 8ish hour drive). We gave those up when they stopped selling them during the pandemic and haven't bought them since. This past year we made it down twice, both times in Cabins where we spent more time just enjoying FW, which I love, BTW. In the past year though, I've spent exactly 2 days in a Disney park. It's about value, and we all value things differently (what economists call Marginal Utility). For us, the things they've added haven't had much value, but the things are are changing or gone did. That may be very different for someone else.

Maybe part of it is as we age, priorities change, but we had a real eye opener when pricing out a weeklong Viking River cruise with included airfare and included excursions is cheaper than driving down to Port Canaveral and spending a week on the Treasure (I know, not DVC, but you get the picture...). Maybe it was the pandemic and following years where we used our points to go to Aulani rather than WDW, maybe it's that our DD has graduated college, but times change and so do people. I 'used to' be one of DVC's biggest fans, but I am falling off the bandwagon more and more each day...

And that's actually OK, because this is just specific to us, and not everyone. I can see where people can enjoy the current iteration of DVC, etc., and by all means, enjoy the heck out of it. But for us, the shine has faded a bit, and it does make us a bit sad. We still love Aulani and CFW, so there's that...
Aulani is pretty great…. no park tickets or LL’s needed… well…. maybe the reserved seating is like a LL….

Things ebb and flow, for sure. I held season tickets for Michigan football for just about 25 years, but let them go this year. Part of that was a consequence of the divorce and making some spending decisions. Part of it is that my kids are both far enough away that they don't come back for a game but once in a blue moon. Part of it is that realignment killed my "home" conference---you can stand inside my alma mater's stadium and see the Pacific Ocean, yet somehow they are in the Atlantic Coast Conference. And part of it is that I'm just tired of sitting on 13" of bench for three and a half hours, most of which is dead time so that television can play commercials.

Interestingly enough, my relationship with Disney P&R has done the opposite. I'm not entirely sure why, and it is worth being curious about that I suppose.
It did feel pretty good to beat Michigan on Saturday…. 😁

I do hope that our "Disney Love" gets rekindled. I don't think it's gone, but just on the back burner. I keep saying that we'll downsize our points because we don't go to WDW near as often anymore, but there is still the voice in the back of my mind that says "you know, that Grand Villa at Aulani sure would be nice"... :)

I'm with you on the College Football as well, although we still have our season tickets and I managed a 1,400 mile round trip to go to Missouri to watch a football game, so I must not be "that" over it. I think that all of this realignment may kill the regional rivalries that the sport was built on, but I digress... That said, a quick shout-out to the past 2 coaches here. Say what you want about players nowadays, but I will give them credit that they show up for class...

I know that the lounges are an ancillary benefit and nobody should buy a timeshare interest to get a free serving of Coca-Cola in a lounge. So I am not trying to make it sound like this is a watershed moment like the first time you saw your dad cry. But to me MMB's lightning lane in the lounges breaks the "first come first serve" promise which erodes trust in the product as a whole.

MMB+ option will remain the same this year also!👍

Don't give them any ideas! LOL

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the original wording of the DL and WDW special priced tickets (for 2025) say that the user of the tickets must be listed on your contracts? Because now I see it says they just have to be part of your traveling party. Am I remembering that wrong or was it always that way?
I remember it reading that way too (or at least members of your household). I was traveling with a friend and didn’t think I could get her a ticket. I’m not sure I looked too closely, because we were there over the weekend.
I wonder when the wording changed, because it clearly now states that it is the traveling party.

Ok so I'm not losing my mind. I feel like it used to say only household or contract members could be the ticket holders (implying that they would check your ID before letting you use them).

It definitely said that at first because I was disappointed I wouldn't be able to use it for anyone traveling with us. Just not sure when they updated it

Here's a bunch of results from the MMB thread when people were talking about it. https://www.disboards.com/search/6087419/?q=Household&t=post&c[thread]=3955557&o=relevance

And here is where it was quoted about tickets specifically

I find it interesting that MMB continues to offer members AP and non-AP benefits. I'd be curious about the mix of owners and how many hold APs and how many take a single trip annually or every other year.

Part of me selfishly wishes the MM entitlement could be taken away and PhotoPass could be added with a MMB point to AP transfer instead, but I am guessing that isn't a common thought.

I'm curious to hear from folks who purchased MMB for 2025...what was the "user experience" like? Did you feel it paid for itself or did you feel like there was enough value to purchase this again for 2026?
For us, it was great!

We took advantage of the BOGO OTUP, purchased APs (which was great to not have to shell out the cash and have used them for 2 trips this year, planning on one next year), and we did enjoy the expedited entry into the lounge at both MK and Epcot; when we went at MK we were the only ones in the queue with MMB so we were seated in about 5 minutes, at Epcot it took a bit longer.

We will probably purchase again for the OTUP that we will use at either to get us an extra night in Disneyland or Aulani depending on what our 2026 plans end up being.

For those of you that bought OTU points.

1) Can you only purchase them at the beginning of the benefit year, Jan 1 2026? Or can you buy them after Dec 9th for use in 2026?

2) If you buy the OTU points Dec 2026, can you use them up to 7 months into 2027?

1) No, I believe you can only purchase during the benefit year.

2) Yes, I purchased my OTUP with the BOGO for a trip next April. We don't plan on getting MMB next year.

I finally found the reference to the 2025 tickets being used only by those residing in the same household in the Membership Extras Disclosure statement. I couldn’t get the words to copy so I had to make a screenshot of the section regarding WDW tickets. If a screenshot is a a no-no, please delete. I knew you guys would want to know where this was said.
