Personally, this is one more reason we won't be back until this is all a bad memory. We love the benefit of photopass, but pictures with masks on just don't work for me and for my family. Someone said, "You can totally tell we're smiling." Well, I don't know you or what you look like without the mask so no, I can't tell. I'm glad you know and that it works for you, but we'll wait it out and hope for maskless park days in the future.
Anyone have their mask blacked out in their ride pictures? My friend last weekend wore a simple mask that said PACKERS (yeah maybe that was the problem playing Tampa that day) in big block letters & their masks had black bars across them in the ride pictures. We laughed, but I didn't know if anyone else has had that happen?
Obviously true, but again if someone else doesn't know that person how do you know if their squinting from the sun or from smiling or is just that they have squinty eyes? Like I said before, if it works for you (and apparently it does for quite a few people) great. It's simply not how I want to experience or remember my Disney vacation.Clearly you are entitled to have your own opinion. But when someone smiles sincerely, their eyes smile too.

Are the photographers doing anything different or special since they can't really "see your smile"? Thanks!
I'm not sure what being optimistic or pessimistic has to do with the situation TBH. I'm usually a bit of both. I'm optimistic that this pandemic will come to an end, but I'm pessimistic about whether we'll ever see normal again. My point was, I'm no fan of mask photos and won't buy photopass as long as that's a requirement. Of course, I'm also probably not going back to WDW as long as masks are required, at least in outdoor spaces.Tell me you're a pessimist without telling me you're a pessimist.
I love the shot with Grogu! Where is that one taken. (I'm assuming in Star Wars, but we haven't been since it opened. Where in particular is that shot?) Thanks.I think the PP really went out of their way to try to make some fun shots![]()

Years from now, this will be an important part of our history. I'm glad I will have some pictures to show grandkids someday. I have been wearing sweatpants for 9 months and haven't had a photo op!

I guess I thought that this was a discussion forum. Apparently, it's not. I'll make note.I’m not sure you had much to add to this particular discussion, other than to come in here with your negativity. If you don’t like the pictures with the masks, that’s fine, but no need to announce it here. The OP wasn’t asking for opinions about pictures with masks, she wanted to see some pictures in masks to decide for herself.
I had custom masks made. They are two sided (so double layer), Disney print / Star Wars print / Animal print / silver (Epcot) print. I also make my own "ears", so my ears and my masks will match!I find smiling under the masks helps with smizing. Wearing cute masks help too.
