Can anyone CONFIRM elimination of non-expiring tickets tomorrow?

True but read the terms and conditions: "Tickets and any options purchased must be used within 14 days of first use, except for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets. Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day Tickets expire 6 months after first use or December 14, 2016, whichever comes first, and may not be used on the following blockout dates: March 28 – April 10, 2015; June 6 – August 13, 2015, December 17, 2015 - December 31, 2015, January 1, 2016, March 19, 2016 - April 1, 2016, June 6, 2016 - August 11, 2016".

You can buy tickets today (at the new price) and they're good through pretty much all of 2016. how is spending $710 on a 10-Day NE ticket better than spending $365 on a 10-Day regular ticket that's good for 2 years? You could buy 2 10-tickets for the price of 1 NE ticket! It just doesn't make sense

Huh? Unused tickets never expire. The tickets that have an expiration date in what you quoted are 3 and 4-day Florida Resident tickets, not regular 10-day (or any other length) tickets.

The cheaper 10 day ticket can be used 10 years from now, but will expire 14 days from first use.

A day on the more expensive 10 day NE ticket can be used today, a day 5 years from the first, 10 years from the first and so on, until all of the ticket is used up. Some people get 3 or 4 trips off of that single NE ticket, and save a lot of money.

On UT the 10-Day tickets are $365 while the NE tickets are $710. That's an increase of $345 for the same ticket!! That's an increase of 94%. Considering ticket prices have increased only 75% in the last 10 years the ONLY way purchasing a NE ticket would be a good deal is if you don't plan to go to Disney in the next 15 years. If you plan to vacation in, say, 3 or 4 years then I'm pretty certain the ticket prices aren't going to increase by $345 between now and then. I think everyone is scrambling to purchase NE tickets for nothing.
It seems you may not understand why people buy non-expiration tickets. Because most posters here do understand the advantage for multiple short trips over a period of years, the NnE option can be advantageous.

I understand the premise of the NE ticket (my grandparents have them) but my point is that any sort of savings you get by buying NE tickets is wiped out by the fact that you're essentially paying double the price up front. Yes, you can make it worth your while by taking multiple short trips but unless you live one state away like Georgia then the added transportation cost of taking multiple short trips versus one long trip also wipes out the savings. But that's just my opinion...

At least 4. I still have a day left on a MKC 5-day ticket from 1992, back when there were only 3 parks...

Our set we still have, and have a day left on them were the ones they stamped as you went into the parks. Now if I could just find them!

Many people choose to do beach trips or Universal trips and just do a day at Disney. People buying these tickets know that it saves them money in the long run. As with anything in life, different strokes for different folks. Lol

We live in Canada and have non-expiring tickets. We use them when we are going on a cruise out of Florida and only have time for one day at Disney. We buy regular tickets for our Disney trips.

Am still wondering if they will let you upgrade a unused non expiring pass to a AP - anyone know?

I bit the bullet and bought a 10 day PH non- expiry ticket today as I already had one unused one. My DH and I are the kind that like to do shorter trips (even though we are from Massachusetts)and get 3 trips from one ticket. I figure between what I have already on my Magic Band and these new unused tickets - I should be set for 4 trips. That should easily get me to my retirement, which I am striving for 4 1/2 years from now.

The NE tickets have been great for us because we have family in Florida that we visit at least twice per year anyway. With the NE tickets, we can easily add on a day or two at Disney each time we go. The transportation cost is not applicable because we would have been flying there anyway. We bought the 10 day w/WP and over the course of the tickets, it will have saved us around $1000 compared to what we would have spend on single day tickets. So, I'm obviously sad to see them go. I did think about buying another set, but since it will be at least a couple years before ours run out, i just can't justify the cost right now.

I'll admit, my first though was, I guess we'll have to go back to the way we used to do it - one "big" trip every few years instead of lots of short ones. And I have no doubt that Disney makes more money off of us that way (which is why we haven't been doing it!) But it's also why I can't blame them for this decision - they do have to look at their bottom line and what is most profitable. I doubt that NE tickets fit that description for them.

No Expiration tickets do not have actual value savings unless you are going to use them for at least three individual trips. Remember that MYW tickets are "front-loaded". Each time you buy another ticket, you've got to pay for that front loading.

A 10-day No Expiration ticket is (was) much cheaper than two 3-Day tickets and a 4-Day ticket, for example.

They REALLY worked well for those that could make day trips occasionally.

Crap; I'm wondering if they'll allow me to add the park hopper feature to my unused no-expiration tickets. I was planning to do that in September.

So Is the no expiration option actually gone? Has there been confirmation?

Yes- I called Disney and if the CM was correct he said they have been discontinued as of today.

So, I know someone asked this question but I didn't see an answer- does this mean NE tickets are no longer available for price bridging or upgrading? How can you bridge from a product that no longer exists?

That's true if you spend multiple days on one trip at the WDW parks only.

You have to do the math against a one- or two-day ticket.

Lots of people don't spend their whole Orlando vacation at the Disney parks, even if they only go once a year. They might visit the other parks as well, resort days, waterpark days, etc.

I agree, I don't think it was in their financial interest to keep selling them. You have more of an incentive to visit more days per trip now, which is the goal of everything at WDW these days (like FP+). It's too bad though, they were a good option.

We live in SC and can drive to Disney. This totally works for us. Also bought 10 day NE with wpfun and more. Should last us many years. Still have 4 left from the tickets we bought in 2009.

I'm from Massachusetts and am lucky enough to see bargain airfares fairly frequently to MCO(less than $100 each way), I have also been lucky to travel to WDW a LOT in past 8-10 yrs.....SO at this point MOST of our trips are extended weekends for special events: MNSSHP, Christmas Party, F&W , maybe a SWW. Often we will use a party ticket for one days admission , then only use one or two days of MYW park tickets. Because we have been so often AND often go for shorter trips , we always seem to Hop at LEAST once per day to hit our favorites etc. At various times we have OCCASIONALLY had APs to Seaworld( platinum AP thanks to Sesame Place bargain prices) or a Costco special ticket to Universal. SO that all being said....we have taken 6 day Christmas season trips and STILL only used 2-3days MYW entrances when combined with Party tickets and trip to Seaworld etc to see their festivities.

We ALWAYS price out what ticket options will be best for a certain trip/year etc. We HAVE had WDW APs some years, but right now 10 day non-exp's save us the most money.

Example: l was able to purchase 10 day non-expiring Park Hopper tickets from an authorized seller, and for ONLY $8 more I was able to add the WaterParks and more feature...this gives me 10 entrances for $8.00 TOTAL that NEVER expire!!! We probably might go once a year , so those will last long past the MYW park tickets, and I won't feel guilty going to the WP for just a few hours.

So I paid $752 TOTAL that includes all taxes and delivery. It gives me 10 days PH & 10 WP entrances.

IF I paid Disney for these tickets each trip it would cost me:

1 day MK PH ticket with tax= $165.08 x 10= $1650.80
1 day WP ticket with tax=. $61.77 x 10= $617.70
-------------------------------------------------------------
Total. : $2268.50.

OR

2 day MK PH ticket with tax= $257.73 x 5=$1288.65
1 day WP ticket with tax= $61.77 x 10= $617.70
------------------------------------------------------
Total: $1906.35

MY SAVINGS is between $1154.35 - $1516.50 PER PERSON!!!!

And that doesn't account for any future increases. Approximately 8 years ago, the price per day was only ABOUT $51 per day...that's a MASSIVE increase! I KNOW my non exp's won't last that long but they will still save me and MANY others BIG money....and I probably still will be floating on my inner-tube on these tickets 8 years from now :upsidedow

I would GUESS that yes you would be able to upgrade to an AP, because as of yesterday Disney was selling them, and I would think for awhile that an AP upgrade would be able to be accommodated.
