Missy: "Let me tell you something about girls like Kari. They're weak, but they are weak in the heart. She's nothing like her mother. Her mother was a strong princess who was able to take care of herself. And Kari, she's a lesser version of what her mother is. Don't get upset, because I know that you have to be loyal to her because you are dating her, but you should at least be aware that girls like Kari can be a little flighty. A little, but they should wring themselves out when they meet the right guy. Listen, I'm not saying Richard isn't partially responsible for this either, because he certainly has factored into this. See, when they were off by themselves, he was always trying to take care of her. She didn't like that. It made her weak. And now she's stuck in the weakened zone, trying everything in her power to get out even if she can't. She needs you. Or she's convinced herself that she needs you. There's nothing wrong with her dating you. I actually think you're a better fit than Richard. But there's obstacles. Kari's broken herself. See, her mother would most likely be mad at her for not being the tough princess girl Kari used to be before she got tangled up in this love mess."

Missy: She ran up to Britannia and gave her a hug. She said, "Hey Mam."

Britannia: She gave Missy a dry smile and returned the hug politely. She said, "Hi Missy."

Missy: "Tell me about your trip. I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

Britannia: "A lot of stuff has happened. Sorry about not being in contact."

Missy: Missy waved it off.

Britannia: "I'm getting married. Gordon proposed to me."

Missy: Her eyes widened. "So you're basically engaged?"

Britannia: She nodded. "Uh huh." She looked around, then discretly showed Missy the ring on her finger.

Missy: "Holy smokes!" Missy gasped. "Oh my God, you didn't tell me it that it looked like this!"

Britannia: "Watch it!" she hissed. "People are here, and they'll be nosy as to what you are screaming about."

Missy: "Do you not see the size of this thing? It's like a treasure hunter's dream come true. Not that you are in the business anymore, but dang."

Britannia: "Can we please have a conversation? Gordon's father actually found out about that. Oh Missy, so much has happened over the course of the past few days."

Missy: She nodded. "Okay."

 

[The Villianess]

Missy: They had gone to a safe spot in the woods. She said, "Go ahead."

Britannia: Britannia told Missy everything that had happened while she was at the YA Manor. She said, "That's it."

Missy: "That's quite a lot. Do you want to start with Gordon being hanged?"

Britannia: "I don't even know. What is there to even talk about with that?"

Missy: "Well, Luke is still out there, at least you made it sound like he was."

Britannia: "Let's talk about how I was interrogated by Thor and how Gordon stuck up for me, even though he knows that I'm a treasure hunter. I've tried to get out of the business, but you know it's a genetic thing."

Missy: "It sounds like from your description that Gordon trusts you and thinks you aren't capable of stealing from him, even if your gene code gave you the moneybags gene. And it's not like you haven't dealt with it before, even I was a little shocked when you told me what your job was."

Britannia: "Missy." she frowned. "The god of thunder thinks I'm a criminal."

Missy: "Well," Missy chuckled. "Let's just look at the bright side."

Britannia: "Okay." Britannia said. "Please tell me you can see it."

Missy: "I would have given a much worse interview than that. Adults don't really seem to like me. Especially parents."

Britannia: "You probably would have given a terrible interview. But this is about me becoming queen of Asgard. Future queen!"

Missy: "The horror." she mocked.

Britannia: "And now they want me to live forever! Missy, I'd be living eons after you die!"

Missy: "Let's try not to get so worked up. Besides, think about how cool it would be to live forever!"

Britannia: "Leave my friends behind. Live longer than their average lifespan."

Missy: "You'll be just fine. I'll always come to visit you no matter my age."

Britannia: "I was so sure that I was going to be happy, but then when they started talking about all this stuff, I wasn't sure what I was going to do. If I do get a chance to live forever, I don't see the point in it, especially if Odin is going to be king for such a long time. Don't even get me started on the family stuff, and on top of all that-"

Missy: "Mam." Missy said. Missy stood up. "Calm down."

Britannia: "Missy." she said. Britannia inhaled deeply. "I'm afraid."
