Calling all those who've never been called on!

Stepharoonie, no AC and you live in Florida? You poor thing. I'd die without AC and I live in PA! I don't tolerate the heat very well.

QJ411 I'm sorry you are having a bad day. If you want to share, we're listening.

:teeth: I hate the heat too...but in the winter, I can't WAIT for summer...go fig.

Thanks KPGCLARK! It's just a bit hectic here, darn crummy paying job! (and I'm just missing WDW right about now:teeth: )

Bloomingdales is opening a new store across the street from my office on Saturday, so there's like a million ppl outside and all the streets are jammed w/ these production trucks and tour buses, so I'm just ppl watching. It makes the day go faster. ;)

Almost FIVE O'Clock! WOO HOO! :teeth: :teeth:

Who knew opening a department store was so newsworthy??

kpgclark...the "dirty" girl from Syracuse is back but she has taken a shower and is ready to play nice-nice!!! :0):flower3:

QJ411, sorry to hear you're having such a bad day...go ahead and vent away. That's what we're here for.

STepharoonie...sorry about your AC. I know what you mean...(I could never make it without mine and I live in the cold nether regions of Upstate NY)

Just thought I'd drop in and say

I'll be back later. I have to work. :badpc:

Hiya Dirty Girl! Sorry you have to work. I'm officially retired for ten years (since the birth of my son) I'm just hanging out with my laptop here watching Survivor.

Well...it's an okay city. Our seasons are 9 months of snow(or at least it seems)

Agreed ! But I will say this for Syracuse, when the snow goes, it goes quickly. Unlike back home in Canada where it takes forever to completely melt away.

My poor husband is from lower NY............he hates the winter here with a passion.....just not used to so much snow and cold.

Hi everyone again,

I didn't think a opening of a dept. store would cause so much commotion! All the streets were jammed w/ traffic, it took us a while to get home...but its ok...no biggie.

Thanks for offering to listen...you guys are the best! :grouphug:
Sigh, well, work is work...what are ya gonna do? I'm at a crummy job that pays me peanuts but I'm supposed to do the work of 5 ppl! (I feel terrible complaining, b/c I know there are tons of ppl who would love to have work, so I'm sorry to sound petty :( ) And there is no appreciation, I guess ppl don't know "thank you" goes a LONG way...

DH got me an interview w/ the Co. he works for (at another location, I can't IMAGINE commuting to work w/ him, working w/ him, commuting home w/ him and sleeping w/ him...THERE IS A VERY FINE LINE WHERE I WOULD GET SICK OF DH)...and on Monday, I'm going on my second interview w/ them.

It looks good so far, it's more $, less responsibility (not only do I take care of the office now, I take care of the owners' personal stuff and their families personal stuff! ), better holidays,...BUT there is that "comfort zone"...I've been w/ my co. for 3 1/2 yrs and I'm a bit scared.

I don't know...I'm sorry, I don't mean to go on and on about this, but its just a bit stressful. (B/C of this new maybe job, we had to change our dates to WDW too, so it's like when it one thing happens, it's like a domino effect.) THere's just so much...'stuff' going on...but thank you for listening, I didn't realize I rambled on like this...you guys are the best!

Queenie...I'm so sorry you're unhappy. It sounds like the new job could be a good thing and don't ever apologize for rambling. That is what we are here for. Night all.....

Signing off for the night

Night Ro, thanks!

Actually, I'm getting pooped too, g'nite all...see you tomorrow!

Queenie at least you have some options right? I worked with my husband for several years and I really enjoyed it. Maybe you will like it too. It is nice to share a commute with someone too.

Good Morning everyone!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: It's Friday!!! Woo Hoo!!

Hi KPGCLARK, I know, thank goodness for options! :p I used to work w/ DH and MIL for about 3 yrs and it was...not fun. I love MIL alot, she's a cool MIL, but there's that awkwardness you know?

But now DH and I drive to work together into the city and it's not that bad. It's actually nice, to be in the car...alone w/out anyone else, we just talk about the most random things and we make each other laugh until we almost pee our pants. But to me, that hour drive is like our "quiet" time together...does that seem weird? I don't know, the commute is good, I don't mind that.

I'm just not to keen on having to go to the same office and answer to the same ppl as each other. Thankfully, it's just the same co., not the same office. So we'll see...we'll see how that goes on Monday. :Crosses fingers: Hopefully it'll go well and it'll be a fresh start.

Anyhoo, how is everyone today?! Got any goodies planned for the weekend? :teeth:

Thanks, I hope you all have a great day! (I'll sneak in here later to say Hi again!;) ):teeth: :teeth:

Well good luck. I'm sure all will work out. Seeing you work in the city has me thinkin' again that I've never taken my kids to NYC. I'm from Long Island originally and I feel bad they've never had that experience. I need to get them there!

Bring them bring them!!! Especially that the weather is getting nicer now! We used to go to PA all the time just for no reason. We're about 2 1/2 hrs. from the Amish country and we love just going there and relaxing!

There's tons of shows going on here in the city, it'll be fun!!! :p

I know, I know. We get back to Long Island every now and again and I feel like if we go to NY it should be to visit my grandmother. We're not far from Philly and we are pretty close to NY. Every time we think about going, we don't know what area or hotel to stay in and then well, we just don't go. It's sad right?

Oh, I know sometimes we get that way too. If you guys ever want to head over, PM me and I'll try to get you info on some hotels and stuff.

In June, there's a DIS Meet in Jersey (by Majestic)...maybe you'd like to come...anyone interested?

It'll be fun!
:p

Sorry Queenie...I'm about 5-6 hours away. Wish it was closer.

Where'd everyone go???

I would go to the meet but we already have plans for that weekend.

Looks like a beautiful day today. We'll be able to get some yard work done. Nothing else exciting is planned. My son slept over a friend's house last night so we just have my daughter this morning. My hubby is reading a book, my daughter is drawing and writing (a favorite pastime for her), and I just popped out of the shower. How's that for details? The leaves are coming out on the trees so they are that light green spring color right now.

Hi, all! I haven't stopped in for a couple of days. -- I saw that there is going to be a meet here in New Jersey, and in Edison, no less! I used to live there!!

My husband decided to power wash the deck today-- and we have a huge deck that wraps around the whole back of the house. That will keep him busy for the day. He's never done it before- we've usually hired someone to do it. I guess that means next weekend he has to paint it right? That's good I guess because we're having a lot of people over for a BBQ on Memorial Day and the deck will look fresh. Our house is sided so I guess he can use it on the siding too.

I just went through my daughter's room to find out what summer clothes are too small. She loves clothes (she's 7). I'm going to try attacking the closets too. I hate doing that stuff.

My friend just had her deck power washed and stained and it looks brand new! It's actually pretty old, but you would never know it now. Your deck will be looking great for your BBQ!

I know exactly what you mean about going through the closets to find out what is too small. I have all of my son's summer clothes on his bed even as I type this!
