Hi gang! Today is my 21st anniversary. Where did the time go?? DH and DS have baseball practice tonight. I threatened to do bodily harm to the coach. So...we are celebrating tomorrow night with grilled steak and the trimmings. I am going shopping for some summer work clothes tonight.

Slo - Have you seen Blue Man Group before? If not, you will love it. DH gave me tickets for my bday 3 years ago. Have fun!

Paint - Thanks for sharing your beautiful wedding day pictures. You were a beutiful bride. I loved your colors. Was the dog in one of the pics an invited guest? We had friends who made a little tuxedo for their dog and he was in the wedding party!

DG - Ouch! Hope that toe feels better. Congrats on making that walk!

ID - I agree with Slo. You sould probably say something to him. You never know down the road what could come up.

I leave for Baltimore for business on Sunday. I hope the stormy weather is totally gone by then! Remember, I don't really like to fly and definitely not with any amount of turbulance.

momto- No! Not our dog! Isn't that funny?!? He just wandered over for a few minutes, then left!!!

slo- Enjoy Blue MAn. It is really cool, but very loud. My ears were ringing afterwards! DOn't know if you have dinner plans, but Adobo (nice atomosphere, Mexican) and Hi Ricky (Thai) are nearby and really good.
dgal- At least you sustained all those injuries for a good cause!
momto- I read someplace that turbulence is nothing more than potholes in the sky... just tell yourself that while you white knuckle grip the armrests!
id- That is a tough one. You don't want to start trouble, but it might cause problems in the future.
tig- We have a tornado watch again! I'll admit, after a few days straight of them, I am starting to grow immune to them! Like the boy who cried wolf!
Kids are at their dad's. I need the break after my first week with them! We saw Kung Fu Panda today. Not too bad. We saw a preview for some Disney movie about Chihuahuas. I think it loos really dumb, but of course the kids think it looks funny. Def one for xh to take them to!

Hi there - quick post this morning!!!

I have a lot to do before we leave - pack, finish packing the girls, water the flowers, go to work, and a couple other things - I need to do this before 11am That's okay though - I'm excited to have a good weekend!!!!


paint - I can hardly wait to see your photos I'm going to have to look tomorrow because I can't stay on the computer this morning.

I need to get moving and get cleaning. I have a lot I want to accomplish today one of which is to get some summer clothes for Alex. I can hardly wait for him to be able to wear things for more than minute. The kid keeps growing. He my height now, my little baby boy

DH and I went to dinner last night to one of our usual places and did a little shopping. We got a blender (not on our registry) and an icecream maker (which someone already got from our registry), both minus receipts. Target won't give a stroe credit without a receipt, even though the icecr maker is on the registry! Makes me so mad!
Anyway, we are going out of town for the evening- Nothing major, since the big trip is in August! DH is so funny- he picked up a Buxton organizer bag and suggested I get it for WDW! I told him I wasn't going to use my trusty fanny pack this trip (I know it looks dorky! So handy, though!). I think I will be able to turn him into a DIS convert!
Slo- Can't wait to hear how you liked Blue Man...it's different!
Hersey- Ugh. The air is terrible. We have an old house and the ac isn't as good upstairs. I bought DH a window ac as an early father's day gift. It was so nice and cool in our room last night!
momto- Have a nice anniversary celebration!
Better pack for my overnight! Later, ladies! and the occasional guy...

I have scrapped the meet idea for later this month. Maybe some other time.

piglet- I was just thinking about the meet while showering (my usual thoughtful spot). It just seems eveyone was so busy this month. I went to a meet at Yorktown Mall (I think they saw Cars befor, I didn't). Anyway, maybe we could do something like that? We just ate in the food court. It was nice because people could come and go as they pleased, order what they wanted, and were free to move about! I don't know if people will wait to see Wall E or not, but what do you think of something like that?

I agree, I really want to do something, so maybe around Wall-E would work.

BTW ~ Looked at the pictures, and I actually teared up at the ones with the family portion of the ceremony.

Aww..thanks so much! It was a really touching, intimate ceremony. You read what dh said to the kids, right? About looking for the perfect person to love and instead, he got three! So sweet! Did you see my crying bridesmaid?

Today I took Geoff at 5 am to meet the other arrowman to go to the ARROWCORP5 at mark Twain natl forest in MO to clear a trail.. he'll be gone for a week.. ( it is a boy scout thing)

Eric has a bit of clean up to do and now he is off to a party.. tomorrow he is going paintballing. he has summer school starting on wednesday but has wrestliing and pole vaulting starting Monday..

oh yeah DH vent.. he decided to go to the movies today since it was hot.. and see several movies.. wish i had nothing to do ...

i laundried, cleaned, grocery shopped today... maybe tomorrow i can relax a bit..

I hope everyone is ok after the storms last night. We only had rain here.

Slo I hope the flooding is not by you.

I need to get the lawn cut today. I took Alex shopping at Penney's they had a great sale. I managed to get it all done with a minimum of grumbling.

I bet he would have really grumbled if he was out of shorts or food. It can be summed up in one word MEN

OMG! That rain today was scary. I was on 355 heading to Streamwood when it hit. Had to pull off to the shoulder (along with many others) it was that bad. I could not see the road in front of me at times.

ffpm- We are going in August for our honeymoon. Everytime dh tells me it is hot, I say, "You just wait...".
geffric- Men! Hope you can relax! I am terrible about taking time for myself. I can't relax if I know there are things to be done. Meet- I don't know but sometime after the holiday. Any suggestions?
piglet- My mom is in New Lenox and was talking about the terrible storms and tornados! We haven't seen much bad weather the last few days.

I am back, obviously. Dh and I went to the fabulous, exotic destination of Peoria! We stayed in the Embassay Suites and it was awesome! Beautiful and great service- they had a free happy hour, which we took advantage of (amaretto stone sours ) and then sat in the hot tub, which looked out over the river. Later, we went to dinner at a great seafood place (key lime pie ) and hit the river boat. I was starting to figure out blackjack but was so confused about craps. I played the 2 cent slots while dh played 3 card poker and won back our losings and then some. We quit while we were ahead, especially since it was after 2 a.m.! We slept in, but we got up in time to take advantage of the awesome hot and cold continental breakfast with made to order omlettes. We then browsed the antique stores and walked along the river. When we got home, I weighed myself and . Then I went to the gym and ate a bowl of oatmeal for dinner!!!
So, like my new avatar? It is the kiss, minus the horrifying beakish profile!

Wow Paint. Your trip to the exotic place of.....Peoria.......sounded a lot of fun. Truly you made the most of your time there.

The avatar is nice and once again I wish both you and your dh happiness and joy in your new life together. Personally though, I would've liked to have seen a cake face avatar instead.
