Good Morning Everyone! I just thought i'd let ya'll know i posted a pic of my engagement ring on the weddings board if anyone is interested! i'm just now starting to figure out how to post pics! with all this time i have (now that i no longer have homework) i've been able to figure it out... sort of. i worry that when someone google image searches my pics are going to come up... anybody know how to prevent that? anywho, the pic is up for your viewing pleasure

Slo ~ I watched next FN star for the first time on Saturday! (it was a rerun of the season premiere) I was actually surprised with how addicting the show is! I didn't want to leave in the middle so i put lunch off until it was over I missed sunday's epi though... hopefully i'll catch the rerun! I love reruns!!!

Welcome back Bunchkin! Hope the packing and whatnot is going well. Sorry you had bum weather for your open house.

What a beautiful day!!!! Turned the air off!





Hersey The house was messy. Lauren had a sleepover on Friday night!!
And my office needed to get gutted....it IS the catch-all room!!

slo I'm hoping for better weather for the next open houses.


piglet The planetarium and MSI are free next week. Friday is a good day for the Planetarium as they are open later on that day and you can go outside and look at the stars through the telescope. Which is waaayyyyy cool!!!

Bunchkin ~ I looked at the planetarium's site and the late Fridays are only the first Friday of the month. Too bad because I would have gone there for sure.

so, rather than having you search through the wedding forums for my pic i figured i would just post them here as well! (thanks bunchkin for the idea) they don't really do the ring justice!

the lower part is white gold with diamonds and the angled part is rose gold with diamonds! DF had it special ordered. we had seen it years ago while looking for a bday gift for my mom! I said i really liked it and he remembered, 3 1/2 years later! i was so surprised and impressed. the store discontinued it about 2 years ago. they called everyone they knew who might have access to this ring. finally they found it and the manager of the store called a buyer and had them get it!! i stopped in this past weekend to say hi and thanked them again for finding it!

I love the ring! Just recently saw some rose gold, and I think it is beautiful. He did good.

piglet I just found that out about the Planetarium. I had read something earlier today that must have made a mistake about it being open late that Friday. It was in that Chicago Parenting free magazine that is at the libraries and other places.

Evening all. Just dropping in to say hello.
It was beautiful today. I spent a good part of the day outside. Mowed the lawn and sat on the deck. Kids played in the hose. I don't have their pool up yet. Needed new hoses for the filter.

It looks like it's a beautiful day today
Which is great, because I'm off work, and I'm taking the girls to a beautiful park close to home, and I'm packing a picnic lunch. We are also taking their bikes so they can ride them at the park too (around a little lake). Then when we come home, they want to play in the pool. It looks like there's going to be no rain today, so they'll probably be able to do that

Bunchkin - I've never been to The Planetarium I need to go there sometime in my lifetime.

Tigggerrnnnnnnn - My girls love playing in the hose too (sometimes more than the pool).

What an awesome day we had yesterday!!!!!
The girls had such a nice time at the park we went to, and we had a nice picnic lunch. Unfortunately, I got really really sunburned It hurts!!!! Than after the park, we came home, and the girls swam in the pool, and than we ate dinner outside - it was a really great day!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! So I met another Chicagoland Dis-bride on the wedding boards yesterday! I was going to invite her to this thread but wasn't sure how to link one to another? do i just copy and paste? is it that easy? i shall try! Anywho, i have tomorrow off!! woohoo, i'm going to call disney about the wedding. i was told they really wont do anything until 18 months in advance but i thought i could try... maybe get some info mailed to me or something! then in the evening my sister has a wedding to attend so i'm babysitting my nephews!! i hear it's supposed to rain again this weekend bummer. the college i attended in iowa is completely flooded. they had pics online of people canoeing (spelling?) with sand bags and a bunch of others in water above their waists lining them up! The upper iowa river flows right through the town and is at record highs... i feel so bad. wish i could help.

oh Bunchkin ~ i am hoping to be able to make the Wall-E meet but we have 3 weddings in July (2 out of town) so I'm not sure. Once the day is decided it will be easier to know for sure. thanks for setting up the thread!

Hi all!!!



Hope everyone is checking out the Wall.E meet thread.
For those of you who know of dates they cannot go, you should pick a date you can. It does make a difference!




We are at the library right now. Both kids wanted to play on Webkinz at the same time and with one another and that is hard to do with only one computer at home! Plus the summer kid's program started this week so the kids have been reading like crazy all week.



Tomorrow we are going to a Joliet Jammers baseball game. They are celebrating Friday the 13th with a costume contest!! Then there is fireworks later after the game. We can actually see them from our house every weekend, we live that close, but it will be nice to see them up close for once. Going with a bunch of neighbors too, so that should be fun!!!





slo Sounds like the picnic was lots of fun you and the girls.

mac We have a new Super Walmart down the road from us that is almost a year old. We love shopping there!! It beats Jewel prices most any day!! And if you didn't know it, they price match too, just bring in the competitors ad with you to the store and show it to the cash register person when you ring up your stuff!!!

What's everyone doing for Father's Day????

We are having everyone at our house (we do all holidays ). I'm hoping and praying that the weather is nice, because we all want this to be a pool party, and if everyone has to stay in the house, that will be a bummer Currently, the weather is saying rain and storms on Sunday, but I'm hoping it'll be wrong {{fingers crossed}}

Remember how I talked about my sunburn???
This is the worst sunburn I've had for awhile It is so painful, I just can't believe how painful it is When I lay in bed, the covers (a sheet and light blanket) feel so heavy, because it hurts my skin. I don't know if my skin has gotten wimpier in my older age, or if the sun has gotten more intense. All I know, is that it hurts!!!!!!!


DG - Please invite the DISer you met here - that would be great!!! You have to go to the globe image, by the envelope image (to post pictures). Press the globe and put the link in there. I hope I explained that right, if not, please ask again, and we'll help you out!!!!!

Mac - I've never been to a Super WalMart. We have Meijers here, and they are probably the same thing

**The kids didn't get burned, because I put sunscreen on them. I just didn't put any on myself, because I wanted to get a little sun, and I never in a million years, thought I would get this burned. I never even felt myself burning - it snuck up on me The only place I did feel burning, and then I put sunscreen there, was the top of my feet - I hate it when the top of my feet get sunburned


Well, I gotta get myself moving and shaking

We are not doing anything special for Father's Day. I think we will go to the meat market tomorrow and get some steaks for supper, but that is about it.
