My son and his girlfriend and her family are at Disney now. I wanted to treat them to fireworks and dinner at California Grill. I've made the reservation right at fireworks time tomorrow.

My questions are these, the reservation is under my name, is that going to be a problem (I'm not there)? How can I pay for it? Can I just tell them to charge the card I made the reservations with? Or should I see if my son's credit card has enough on it to cover? (Obviously, Yes it does but I would prefer not to go that route since he's a college kid)

Any info would be appreciated!

Yes the ressie will be fine with your son using your name to gain entry but I truly don't know about how you can pay using your card. When you say you are not there do you mean off site or just somewhere else in WDW?

Give DWD a call in the morning and have the reservation # on hand as well as your son's hotel room/ hotel reservation # and ask about your original idea-using your c/c. .

Another possibility is to do an electronic g/c to your son and ask Disney's reps for the proper way to ensure it's placed on his account immediately.

Final possibility I can think of is the make a payment equal to the amt of the meal directly to your son's c/c in advance. This will depend on the terms of the type of c/c he has.

Are they staying onsite? If so he could charge it to his room and then you can call and pay that part of his room charges.
