BWV studio roll in shower room locations?

I’ll be staying in BWV this December 2019 in a Standard Studio with a Roll In Shower.
I chose that particular type of Standard Room and it is called “Deluxe Studio – Standard View, Wheelchair Accessible with Roll-In Shower and Option for Hearing Accessibility”.

But I can’t find those rooms in the Touring Plans room locator.

I did find the following rooms, “Building 1 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-Standard Studio View
Room 1048”, but it is a pool view and the size on the map makes it look like a one bedroom. That is the only room and it is not designated on all of the floors.

I realize that guests have to report these rooms to be accurate for others to view and that might be why they may not all be shown in the room locator.

I found these other studios with roll-in showers with pool view, etc., listed below.

Building 1 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-Standard Studio View
Room 1048, 2048, 3048, 4048, & 5048-(BUT THIS IS A POOL VIEW)

Building 2 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-Standard Studio View
Room 1070, 2070, 3070, 4070, & 5070-(BUT THIS IS A POOL VIEW)

Building 1 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-BW Pool/Garden Studio View
Room 1048, 2048, 3048, 4048, & 5048-(BUT THIS IS A POOL VIEW)

Building 2 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-Pool Studio View
Room 1070, 2070, 3070, 4070, & 5070-(BUT THIS IS A POOL VIEW)

Building 1 - Disney’s BoardWalk Villas North Building-Boardwalk Studio View
Room 2047-(No other rooms and the first floor is a store)

Can anyone add any more STUDIOs with ROLL IN SHOWER?

We've stayed in both Boardwalk view and P/G view lockoff with the roll in shower which it appears that you've located assuming you meant to type xx68 for the 1BR's. And the xx70's are the studios. I'm not certain that they all have roll in showers though - I thought 1or 2 had HA tubs and the others roll in showers or something like that however it was pieced together from reports I found. I looked at the standard views rooms directly across the hall and they also appeared to be HA rooms. I could tell by the double peep hole in the doors. So I believe they are all right in the beginning of that hallway just around the corner from the elevators. But there's also been several reports that standard view bookings have been assigned to the lower floors that face the Luna Park pool, likely because it's blocked by the Leaping Libations. So you might find yourself in 1070 or 2070 for a standard view studio. I found no other locations at the resort with reports of roll in showers - just these rooms by the elevators and then the single Boardwalk lock-off.

If your interested this was the post I did about the HA pool/garden view lock off that we had:

Hi, KAT4DISNEY. Thank so much for your reply and the link to your post.

I tried clicking on all of the studios for roll-in showers on Touring Plans room locator and I thought that some of the information might be incorrect, but I didn't know for sure so I wrote down the room numbers of all of the studios that designated them with roll-in showers.

It has been a while since I have stayed at the BWV and I forgot about the two peepholes in the doors for the guests standing and the guests sitting in wheelchairs. I will have to remember to roam the halls and check the doors with double peepholes.

And I think that you are correct about some handicap rooms having roll-in showers and some rooms having tubs with hand bars for support.

I think that you are correct about the view in 1070 or 2070 rooms, but that would be okay with me, too. I just feel lucky to get all of my nights in a row this year.

Thank you again.

KAT4DISNEY, I found some more information about the room locations and I put the quotes from those threads below with some maps. But these maps don't show the roll-in shower studios.

I'm pretty sure about this.

BWV does not have dedicated 2 bedrooms.

So... 1L is a 1 bedroom lockoff. SL is a studio lock off.
SD is a dedicated studio. 1D is a dedicated 1 bedroom.

If you see a 1L next to a SL...then that is also a 2 Bedroom.

If you have a studio, you can request "Village Green". The studios in this area are dedicated (no door to a 1 bedroom) and have a small bench located where the door would be if the villa was a lock-off. You will have a partial view of the Boardwalk and higher level fireworks from EPCOT's Illuminations. The Village Green is the lawn area between the lobby and Crescent lake. These rooms are also close to the elevators.

Otherwise, you have several choices to make. If you are traveling with strollers, wheelchairs, ECVs or guests who can not easily use the stairways, you will want to request close to the elevators. There is only one bank of elevators that serves the BWV wing and some of the hallways can be long.

You could request view of main pool (Luna Park), the quiet pool (and Community Hall building) or the croquet lawn. The latter area, while quite a distance from the elevators, is very quiet and overlooks the canal and Swan & Dolphin resorts. Very pretty. Plus, if you can do stairs, these rooms are closer to the Swan's bus stop than the BWI/BWV bus stop. You can get off at the Swan and walk back to your room much faster than waiting to get off at the BWI/BWV stop.

Have fun!

Bookmarks are your friend. :teeth:

If you don't use bookmarks / favorites or forget (like I usually do), just remember the DVC Resource Center (link near the top of all the DIS DVC Forums).

Cllick on the picture of Ariel and then scroll down and click on the picture of the BWV. You see the link to the Boardwalk Villas & Views (just above the map).

Thank you again KAT4DISNEY.

Wanted to report back on our Pool/garden view HA with roll-in shower that we had in mid-April. First, in Feb I had walked down a couple of the BWV hallways and from the door peepholes saw that the HA standard and pool/garden view rooms all seem to be right around the corner from the elevator. And that is exactly what we got for our 2BR lock-off with roll-in shower.

PoohsPal and Judique both reported that there is a roll in shower on the 2nd floor and I can report that there is also one on the 3rd floor which is where we were assigned. Also, as mentioned, the master bedroom in the 1BR section is against the elevator shaft and I could hear the whirring of the elevators but no other noise such as people talking or bells dinging so really not bad.

Overall my sister reported that she greatly preferred the set up here at BWV vs what she had for a roll-in shower at PVB last Oct, except for the monorail access. Considering the only the room BWV worked well for her and the kitchenette in the studio was set up better. At PVB the microwave was at a height she could not reach, not low like it should be. However, we did find that housekeeping had placed the paper plates up in the kitchenette cabins at BWV which was unreachable for her. There was room on the lower shelf which would have been ok.

Here are some pictures:

First, the views. In Feb I discovered that the balcony doors at BWV are double doors and it's become my new favorite thing! As you can see all the balconies have slatted rails so there were no issues seeing out.

From the master:

And from the balcony off the living room:

Looking towards the left where you can see some of the work going on to the outside. And the gardeners sprucing the hedges up:

A little rain after we arrived:

And now the rooms. First the studio side:

The cabinet "closet" since the bathroom layout has the normal closet removed from the room:

This was the hokey part - the safe that wasn't actually attached to anything. You could lock up your items although it was a little difficult to use. But at least it would be some deterrent. The master bedroom closet had the new, larger electronic safes that have been installed since the refurb. I did not get a picture of that this trip though.

The studio fridge still had a small freezer section:

Pocket door into the bathroom that operated VERY easily. My sister accidently slammed it the first time it moved so smoothly!

Back over to the 1BR side. The balcony off the living room only had the table on it. I did try calling housekeeping to have a chair brought but did not get an answer after letting it ring for a couple of minutes and I never got back to it. There was a single chair on the studio and the master bedroom balconies that I also could have moved over but this chair was easy to swing out while I enjoyed my breakfast. :)

The 1BR shower room:

The rubber water dam that worked fine to keep the water in the shower:

Still no shelves around the sink in the master shower room and no towel bars in either the shower room or the studio bathroom. My sister was using the studio side and came over to hang up her towels since there were no towel bars, other than the assist bars by the toilet only to discover that the master was the same. :sad2:

See this thread for a room map. There are 8 dedicated boardwalk view studios, x031 & x029(2nd to 5th floors).
