This is why I will never stay at any of those resorts ever again. First off the Swan and Dolphin are NOT disney resorts so I don't see why we who are paying deluxe resorts rates have to share a bus with them and deal with the overstuffed busses. Sorry they need their own bus they don't pay anywhere near what we pay for our rooms and I don't think its fair. NO I don't care how snotty that sounds. Each resort needs their own bus from that area I really hated waiting for a bus than having to stand when it finally got there. I will never stay there again.![]()
The S/D both pay for the use of those buses. It would make little to no sense to run buses to just the S/D without stopping at the other Epcot resorts.
Now....during busy times of day (park openings and closings) the bus route for BW includes the S/D...only. Midday, the bus can also stop at the YC/BC as well. Why? There is simply little need to run two different routes due to the time of day and the number of guests needing service.
You know...it gets tiring to hear everyone complain incessently about the bus service at BW. Truly, it really isn't any worse there than at the Polynesian or GF. Really. I routinely stay at BW...I own DVC there. Yes, the buses could be improved upon. But, the system is simply not as bad as some of you make it out to be. Bus service to DTD is miserable from ALL the resorts.
All the buses for the various resorts make several stops before heading to the park. STaying at POR? Well, be prepared for 4 stops, as well as one at POFQ. CBR? Same thing..multiple bus stops within the confines of the resort. And believe me...it adds up to about the same time on the bus as when you ride from BW. POP is the only resort that has no other stops once you board the bus. You get on at POP and you go to your destination...period.
Disney does a great job of moving thousands of people around their property pretty efficiently every day. Those who choose not to use the buses can use either cabs or rent a car. No one method is going to be 100% perfect.
BTW...BW is not always the last stop. I have gotten on the bus plenty of times, at BW, when the bus was empty. Then it usually headed to the Swan and then to the Dolphin. It was a good day if the bus didn't head to YC/BC.
