WDWMom -- no flames from me. As far as I'm concerned, your idea of wanting to learn the facts and making an informed decision before you vote, is something I think we should all aspire to before we walk into the voting booth in November.
Here is a site to help get you started on your questions about Kerry and his record of service in Vietnam. It's called Find Law. Here is the link. It's a website for lawyers and law students. There, on the page I linked you to, you will find the actual records of both George Bush and John Kerry, all of those that have been released to the public for anyone to read. You can read the actual documents, not someone's opinions about the documents. They are in alphbetical order, not a time-line order. Then you can compare what the records say to the opinions of what other's say and decide for yourself.
That will get you started anyway. If you compare the records to what you hear, you might find that there are some mighty interesting stories floating around out there, some truthful, some full of fantasy.
