Bush for Pres. and my debate with people for kerry

WDWMom -- no flames from me. As far as I'm concerned, your idea of wanting to learn the facts and making an informed decision before you vote, is something I think we should all aspire to before we walk into the voting booth in November.

Here is a site to help get you started on your questions about Kerry and his record of service in Vietnam. It's called Find Law. Here is the link. It's a website for lawyers and law students. There, on the page I linked you to, you will find the actual records of both George Bush and John Kerry, all of those that have been released to the public for anyone to read. You can read the actual documents, not someone's opinions about the documents. They are in alphbetical order, not a time-line order. Then you can compare what the records say to the opinions of what other's say and decide for yourself. :) That will get you started anyway. If you compare the records to what you hear, you might find that there are some mighty interesting stories floating around out there, some truthful, some full of fantasy.

Good luck! :)

It doesn't involve me, either, believe it or not.

Kendra,

It DOES involve you since you feel the need to participate. This comment only fuels the situation. I gave one warning and this will be my last.

If you must continue this, take it private.

Saffron,

Thanks for the like. I am going to book mark it and read it later. I hope to gain some insight to this debate.

Bedknoberry2, I believe you are right about the media. They are able to twist and turn things to how they want them to be heard. (Sounds familar. Maybe we have the media here on the DISBoards. LOL) But seriously, I think they media is making it harder for those of us without convictions one way or another to choose the right candidate. Do I honestly think one could do a "better" job than the other. Not really, just different.

Actually, your personal battle with each other doesn't involve any of us so if you must continue, please do it in private.

Thanks!

You're absolutely right. You have my most sincere apologies as does anyone who innocently had to wade through this.

I think you don't understand that there will always be people that look at the US in a negative way.

Well, believe it or not, I understand, but just disagree.:D And with all due respect, my question wasn't directed to someone like you, who doesn't have the same priorities for the impact of our actions on the rest of the world. I may be wrong, but I don't believe that you voted for GWB because of compassionate conservatism or because he claimed to want to "excercize restraint and project humility".

I believe it is in our best interest to do this -- and I'm sorry he didn't make good on his promise. I was wondering about the people who might have let these things influence their vote in the past election.

I know this for a fact because I've been at several that never even made their way to the NYTimes. (And you know how liberal they are. I don't think I'm "too wrapped up" -- just some one who feels like no peace will ever be achieved the way we are going about things now.

I've escaped a few U.S. protests myself, before the Bush administration. Have only been overseas once since 9/11 as
I changed my occupation the next year. We've been going to
the beach since then. Fish don't protest. :)
We are certainly not moving toward peace in any way.
Thanks for posting Aunt Polly!

What happened to my post? -- I'll say it again:

I'm one of those Kerry supporters with a passport -- that I use, and I've seen first hand what other countries say about us. Most of the protests in Europe go unreported -- in the US, I meant to say. I know this for a fact because I've been at several that never even made their way to the NYTimes. (And you know how liberal they are ;) ) I just happen to think that European protesters have some valid points. I don't think I'm "too wrapped up" -- just some one who feels like no peace will ever be achieved the way we are going about things now.

My vote is for President Bush. I just don't like Kerry, I think he is fake.

Just my .02 worth.

HAVE A DISNEY DAY!!!:bounce:

I agree with dsnylvr, he seems very fake to me. I know I will probably regret this but he reminds me of a slimy used car sales man (no offense meant for honest used car saleman).

Just my opinion

Down with the Shrub. I can't stand the bush.

He's the single most dangerous man in the world at the moment and the single man most likely to start world war 3. He's also one of the stupidest people I've ever seen.

His foreign policy is horrific. If there is ever a president that will lead to destroying the world, the shrub will.

Slimey Bin Laden is much more dangerous, and much more likely to start a 3rd world war..
