I'm sure it could be done... for a cost. Whether Disney is willing to spend it, that's another story.
As for the wireless network, it seems to go down on an hourly basis -- especially when it rains. When MOD was first introduced, using wireless Palm Pilots, it was a disaster. The Palm Pilots relied on the network which was constantly going down. It was a nightmare. Our newer tablet PC's use the network, but do not rely on it to work. They just use the network to communicate allocation, travel and arrival times between tablets. Actual dispatches are generated dynamically.
