Any news about running buses from Epcot to DT Disney, with lack of parking heard rumors that this might be happening.

The confirmed route I've heard about is from AK to DTD in the afternoon and evening through October. So far, no other routes have been mentioned.

Exactly where did you hear this? It has been reported here, on this board, by people making assumptions, that this is due to parking issues at DTD. I don't think it is. The fact that Disney is trying a route between AK and DTD from mid-afternoon on doesn't really address the parking issue. I think they are trying to give AK guests an option due to the parks early close time. I doubt people are going to park at AK and take a bus to DTD. That is the furthest park from DTD.
You may see Disney expand this to other parks if they feel it suits their needs.....note I say 'their' needs, not the guests' needs.

That was the information I had too, Gooy4tink from a CM directing me to the bus that did not exist as of our recent trip last week. It's still not active. I made a mistake hoping a ride to the Contemporary as did every one else and should have gotten off at the GF, hoping for less people at the bus stop.

I did notice several families on the bus from the resorts headed to DTD with sleeping kids. They got off and headed to the parking lot.

Were you at Epcot when a CM told you there was a bus to DTD??? Yet again, another CM handing out info that is bad!!! Drives me nuts.
Yes, I'm sure there are still people that want to park at DTD to avoid the parking fees. But I don't really feel that all that busing around, taking a fairly long time to do it, is worth saving $15!!!
I suppose the DTD car parkers could just take a bus to a nearby resort and then bus or whatever to the park. And then hope there is a bus returning directly to DTD later in the day. Too much work for me. If Disney starts running park to DTD buses, then I would hope that they would make the resort buses only for guests...have to show a room key to board.

May have been MK, Either same CM or same wording. About the parking lot. To save the $15, they take the DTD to Contemporary mom rail to the park. It was crazy at he stop to DTD when a second CM crossed me through to he resort monorail that night.
I agree a room key to DTD would help.

With the advent of the magic band this should make it easy. When you buy your admission ticket the transportation privilege is added to the band.

This would make getting around a lot faster. More direct routes between hotels for high traffic meal times.
