Brooklynn takes Bella to see Cinderella. Last thread.

I finally had time to find you guys! Love the DTD and MK photos and I am amazed at how easily the 4 parks adventure went. I'd like to attempt it once we have kiddos who are a bit older!

I am so sorry to hear about your student. I know how they go from being your students to "your kids" so quickly. What an awesome church and DIS community to pull together like this to make sure that they have a little bit of brightness to their day. I'll keep them in my prayers!

Love the pretty lights of Spectromagic! It's one of my favorites!

Aww...I wish I could send you some "sleeping dust" to help you sleep all night. :goodvibes

Do you ever see Tanya Tucker in Walmart at 5am?
I saw an episode of her show 'Tuckerville' and she was in Walmart in the wee hours....so she wouldn't get harassed....:rotfl:

I hope Trent is enjoying the warmer weather! :thumbsup2

Spectro is my absolute favorite parade. As soon as I saw the pictures, I started hearing the music in my head. One of the spectro dudes did a little bow to me in February. Isn't it funny how that still makes me squeal a little? :rotfl2:

I meant to tell you this on Facebook, but I didn't mail the card yet. :headache: It has been in my car and I've basically been driving it around. I swear I'm going to mail it tomorrow (I will write myself umpteen post-it notes to remember if I have to), so you will have it soon!

Love the Spectro pictures! They remind me of my office. I took several pictures of the musical elements of Spectro and let my students hang them in my office if they played really well during their piano lessons. They LOVED it! I think the only way a kid will like a metronome is if it's covered in lights and has the Genie right beside it!:goodvibes

Start a list! You'll certainly never earn your DIS badge without riding both of those! :goodvibes

Like a good disser... I have one. :lmao: They are near the top, along with Soarin', Everest, Philharmagic, small world....... Splash Mountain will be closed while I'm there so I'll just have to bite the bullet and go back :rotfl: The key will be convincing my husband to go before 2014..... :scared:

I love Spectro!!! Your pictures are great and your narrative cracked me up.

Having to catch up here. Life starts getting pretty crazy about this time of the year. Loved my front row seat for Spectro last night. And I didn't have to fly to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although watching from the recliner wasn't quite the same, but good nonetheless!

Hey MeMom loving you report. Just wanted and pop in and ask if you got snow. It's just really cold here. Gotta run doing some shopping today. I haven't bought anything. ugh

Loved the Spectro pictures MeMom, it really reminds me of the visits to Disney when I was much much younger!

So sorry to hear about your students house fire. So very sad. Thinking of you and them xxx

Spectro is by far my favorite parade in all of Disney!! I loved being able to experience this morning with you!! The music is amazing the floats...and I agree those lesser known performers make the parade the wonderful event that it is!!!!

Great update MeMom!

Loved the Spectro pics! Oh great..now I have that song in my head!

"On this magic nnnnnnnnniiiiigggghhhhtttt" :rolleyes1

Great pictures of Spectro! :thumbsup2

Loved the two pics of the butterflies(?)/individual dancers!

Can there ever be enough spectro pics! Thanks MeMom. I can close my eyes hum along and well put myself there!

Two weeks from tomorrow night.....
Spectro!

I missed it last summer....
I have the CD loaded in my car....
I am so ready to be there!

Well, ready mentally, I still need to pack!
:lmao:

Disregard my last post, MeMom; I finally mailed the card early in the afternoon. I had to almost tear apart my car for it because I forgot Charles put it in the glovebox for safekeeping. :rotfl2:

Memom I love your narrative of Spectro. I also want to say Happy Birthday to Walt. I know I am a day early but wanted to throw it out there while I remember.

I am very grateful that Walt Disney had the vision he did for making places for families to go and have good clean, safe fun together. His ideas have ended up creating a lot of incredibly good times and awesome memories to treasure forever for my family, I know. :)

Great Spectro pictures, MeMom! It's awfully cold here, too, so it was nice to escape to a summer evening in the Magic Kingdom!

It is very cold here right now. I went downstairs to grab some laundry, and I got back up quickly! I don't heat the downstairs in the winter unless we have company, since it's just a two car garage that was built into a big den and has only baseboard heating. It's too expensive to heat it, so we just shut it off and stay in the main part of the house.

I am terrible in the cold, anyway, and can stand heat much better. A hot summer night in Magic Kingdom is fine for me. :thumbsup2

It's COLD and snowing here. Thanks for a little Florida warmth tonight, I needed that!

Northeners probably don't even qualify what we get in TN as being cold!

Hey MeMom and Jill! I am finally back! Boy am I beat!!! I am gonna catch up soon! :)

Take your time. Relax and recuperate from your trip. I am excited about seeing all of your pictures. I was thinking of you walking around my Pop. Did you take any early morning walks? :)

I want to see some new Aileen pictures! Do you have some of the kids in front of the tree or with Santa or anything?

The Four Parks day was easy, since we weren't pushing a bunch of ride time. Just something in each park and it was fine with me.

The family is very appreciative of the help. I think it is really sinking in this week. The kids are sleeping in the living room at a friend's house. M told me there were eleven people living there right now.

I haven't see Tanya Tucker. I have seen all the Oak Ridge Boys several times, though. Taylor Swift lives in our city, and she's been spotted often, but I've never seen her. I'm not real infatuated by 'stars', though, so if I did see her, I probably would just think she's a normal blonde teenage girl and not give it another thought. Except for the crowd around her, that is. I do know she was up at our Walmart when she released a CD sometime over the past year maybe? She was there at midnight for a surprise visit for her loyal fans, I guess, who were there at midnight to buy it. Truthfully, I don't know much about her, since I really only listen to gospel, Disney, and Christmas music. I know that's bad, considering there are people who travels hundreds and even thousands of miles to see people who live right here beside me. :upsidedow

I love it when you first hear the music faintly, and then you see those 'spectro dudes' coming toward you.

The card will be appreciated whenever it makes its way here.

Now that's fun! It's great to have some Disney magic in your every day! :wizard:

You do have quite a list there!

You can always do a girl trip and leave the husband behind to watch football/baseball/basketball/car racing or whatever all by himself. :goodvibes

As for the narrative, I'm a bit of a dork sometime. I'm like so calm and mild at school and in everyday life, but Disney just brings out my silly side!

****************************

Okay, that's it for now. Gotta get ready for church. I dread going out in the cold! Have a good day, all!

If you're looking for something fun to do today, CP is making cookies at her house. :)

Before we move on to August 1st I need to add in my pics from the 31st.

While Brooklynn was walking around Pop in her pajamas with MeMom and Isabella. Trent, Jarvis, John, and I were here

IMG_2283.jpg

We said hi to Bo while we were waiting.

IMG_2292.jpg

In front of us

IMG_2294.jpg

Behind us

IMG_2300.jpg

We were let in the gate and moved up to the rope. Then these guys came out to lead the way and make sure no one ran or tried to bypass the herd.

IMG_2302.jpg

The crowd behind us before the rope dropped.

IMG_2309.jpg

We followed the mass and we were soon here.

IMG_2355.jpg

As a preschool teacher I personally love this handprint fish.

IMG_2356.jpg

As soon as we were finished at Toy Story John and I headed to the bus stop. We were going to trade MeMom out and she was going to head over to Hollywood to meet up with Trent and Jarvis while we hung out with the girls at Pop. While we were waiting these two old guys passed us. I told John it was Trent and Jarvis in about 40 to 50 years. You be the judge.

IMG_2364.jpg

IMG_2365.jpg

When we got back to Pop MeMom headed out and Brooklynn got into her bathing suit and we headed to the kiddie pool. Unfortunately the kiddie pool was being cleaned.

IMG_2370.jpg

So over to the Goofy Pop Jets.

IMG_2373.jpg

IMG_2374.jpg

IMG_2385.jpg

IMG_2407.jpg

Isabella loved watching her sister run through the water getting soaked.

IMG_2417.jpg

She got her own turn to play in the water.

IMG_2419.jpg

They were painting the yo yo. With a little bitty roller brush!

IMG_2429.jpg

Brooklynn decided to tempt fate.

IMG_2469.jpg

IMG_2464.jpg

The fountain won!

IMG_2481.jpg

We stopped for a quick game of Twister on the way back to the room.

IMG_2508.jpg

Hopped on a bus to Downtown. Brooklynn decided to act scared.

IMG_2519.jpg

Then she pretended to be asleep.

IMG_2521.jpg

We met MeMom at the Westside bus stop. John stopped at the Cigar shop and the rest of us headed to Earl for lunch. John met us there. We ate and shopped a little and then we headed back to Pop. Where Brooklynn got to play in the kiddie pool.

IMG_2531.jpg

It started to rain, but she was having a blast

IMG_2542.jpg

and John and I were at a table with sweet treats.

IMG_2547-1.jpg

That's all I have. I've loaded more pictures for MeMom so we are ready to finish up the last three days just in time to leave after Christmas. We will do the New Years trip when we get back and then back track to the October girls trip.

Then she pretended to be asleep.

IMG_2521.jpg

:rotfl2: Why is it that they can never wipe the smile off of their faces when the pretend to be sleeping?:lmao:

MeMom and Jill, loved both of the updates! Brooklynn and the water jet is priceless!
I'll bet Bella loved getting her tootsies wet in that jet puddle too!
