Bring Own Bedding

Wait a minute, fakereadhed, you have your own rides . .. . . I don't have MY own rides . .. . Why not? I've got a bad back, and all those Disney rides have that warning about if you have a hangnail, or have ever had a hangnail, or might possibly ever in your lifetime have a hangnail, you probably shouldn't ride.

I need to bring my own rides too, ones without the hangnail warning

I didn't say they were exciting rides.

Okay, I thought the original post was a little odd, too.
It came from a brand new poster. And this is the welcome they get?

Any wonder why the Disboards do not have a reputation for being "friendly"?!

I thought it was pretty friendly here, and sign me up for one of those new Uhauls :thumbsup2

I'm glad that you at least thought that it was a little odd. This wasn't a bad "troll" type post, it was just a silly one. It was see through-able from the very beginning. It was meant in fun and responded in kind. Nothing unfriendly about that at all.

The original poster has not been back to respond, which speaks volumes for the intent and everyone has had a good time. No one has said...what are you some kind of idiot or what? They have played along with the game and turned it into a pleasant experience. A few appeared to take it seriously, but most just went with the joke.

BTW...I had pie for lunch, and it was gooooood! :cool1:

You mean you are taking the OP seriously? :lmao:

You haven't noticed that someone or a group of someones over the past month or so is creating accounts and posting 2 or 3 "interesting" troll like posts and never posting again.

I am bumping this post as it is the only post that is somewhat serious and on topic in the whole thread. If this was a joke, good one. However, I have a feeling this was a serious post. I would recommend taking the advice of the aforementioned poster. Disney is quite accommodating when need be.
I'm offended. My post on page two, I think, listing alternatives starts with, "On the slim chance the OP is serious..." then gives good suggestions.

That's it. I'm done here. I'm taking my toys and going home.

Uh, someone hand me one of those hobbyhorses?

Name comes to mind: Tender Donkey:lmao:

Maybe the OP should call the hotel 6 months in advance and have the hotel ship one of their mattresses so the wife could try it out. This way she has a few months to get use to it. Then when OP and his wife go to the hotel they can return the mattress!!!
:dance3:

That is brilliant! :thumbsup2

OK back on topic. :thumbsup2

WDW is what 40 years old, boy that's really old. I hate living in walls that are maybe that old.

So here is my plan. Now this will only work at the Contemporary Resort or maybe the Poly.

A well informed CM told me that at the CR, when they want to do a complete remodel, they can remove and replace all the rooms in one day to minimize down time. They just slide out like a drawer.

Well if that's the case, I'm bringing my own complete room, bed, bathroom with my tooth brushes already in their holders, dressers with all my clothes already in the drawers(no unpacking :thumbsup2), shoe holder with all my toiletries already on the door, the whole nine yards.

So where can download the PDF for these room plans.

If I check in early can I leave my room with Bell Services and then they will text me when its installed? I'm also assuming that the concierge will arrange for the crane and all the hookups.

Is it cheaper since I will be using all my own stuff and not renting theirs?

Also I'm not sure if I'm driving my big rig with the room in tow or flying.

If I'm flying is there anywhere on property I can arrange for a LAPES delivery of my room, maybe the old airstrip? If you are unfamiliar with LAPES, here is a short video.
