I need to get a few pairs of back to school jeans. So far I found boys slim jeans in the right size at A Childrens Place for 10.20 per pair after my online discount.

Is this a fair price? And do they run true to size?

Not sure about jeans, but I have found TCP sweatpants to run big.

That price seems great if you like the style.

I like the boys slim jeans from Old Navy. I usually spend between $15 - $20 and they're adjustable.

I've always found TCP to run big. $10 is a good price. Arizona & Gap slims fit my ds best.

Thanks ladies, I got the pants and they have the adjustable sides. Hopefully we can use them all year. Or until the knees rip and give way.

Sears Canyon River Blues brand jeans have (or had anyway, I've not bought in years!) slims with elastic to cinch in the sides. If the kids wear them out- Sears will replace them. Best deal out there for boys who grind up the knees on their pants!

Funny, but I have found TCP pants run short on my DS. I also get slim sizes from Old Navy and from Gymboree. Seem to fit him best.

That is a good price. I always think that TCP clothes run big. I always buy the jeans with the adjustable waist, and I usually try to get them at Old Navy. I think the kids jeans are on sale for either $12 or $14 right now.

ITA that the TCP slims run larger - not long, but bigger around the waist than other slims I've bought. IMO, GAP slims are the slimmest that I've tried and the ON run the longest. My ds is in that terrible in between size right now - he needs a 9:lmao:, where the 8s are too short and the 10s HUGE and while the slim and skinnys from GAP are usually his best fit, I managed to pick up two pairs of ON 8 slim and skinnys that should fit him through the fall. No other place worked for him.

It's a good price, but I find Children's Place pants to wear out quickly (a couple of years ago I got DS 2 pairs of their jeans and the cuffs at the bottom started fraying almost right away. I've had the same problem with their chinos and I tried twice.)

We go with Sears Toughskins and I LOVE them! They're a little bit pricier but totally worth it, IMHO.

I buy all my DS slims in JCPenny, they are great jeans, I have also got them in Old Navy. He won't wear Childrens Place clothes anymore.

Plus JCpenny has slim in shorts which have always been hard to find, I buy them online.

I had this same problem with TCP jeans wearing out only it was the knees. One of my sons put holes in the knees on the first day he wore them! I think it is becasue they have different thicknesses of jeans for different seasons. The jeans I bought in August were much thinner than the ones I bought in November.

Now I only buy jeans from the Gap. They have an adjustable waist and while they are more expensive, they do last much longer.

I got DS slims from Target. Whatever brand they sell and they were only $8 each pair. They still look new after a year of use. They were wider in the waist than I thought they would be but it has an adjustable waist.

Sears carries 9s!!! I think it's that Canyon River brand. I got them for my DS a couple years ago. They are still in great shape and the little one will wear them soon!
