I love the Baxter series, as well as all her other books. One Tuesday Morning and Beyond Tuesday Morning were about 9/11 and were very very good also. All her books are great. I have read them all and am now on the waiting list for her newest ones!
I also enjoy Francine Rivers, Lori Wick, Karen Ball, and especially Lynn Austin.
Just finished "All She Ever Wanted" by Lynn Austin, it was great.
I'm wondering if I should buy the books and read them, but I'm afraid since I already know the story I won't enjoy them as much. I know there are more in the series...is this worth my time???
Hi all. This is my first time posting here on this thread. It sure has a lot of pages for me to have never noticed it before. But I'm glad I found you all now. It's nice to know there are other Christians here!!!

Tuesday there was a letter from the school about some of the things going on, updating about lunch, lockers, etc. There was a section that said there would still be after school care but that they were still in need of an after school care director from 3:15 - 5:30 M-F. Now my hours here are 8:00 - 4:30 M-F and I have another job that is Friday & Saturday from about 5:00 PM to midnight. So I thought well maybe I can get them to let me change my hours here so I talked to my boss and he said that should be okay 6:30 AM - 2:45 PM and then go do after school care. I called the school administrator, who was my DS 1st grade teacher and she was so excited, she said, "you don't even have to come for an interview, I'll go ahead and fill out the paperwork." So I'll get a chunk of a discount on the tuition plus I'm going to have them just roll whatever my little bit of salary might be right into the balance so that should take care of a good bit of it so that we will be able to manage. My other part time job I might have to drop a day or change my hours on Friday by an hour, still trying to work that out.
DH will have to get the kids up, breakfast (which I plan to leave them something that is ready), dressed and dropped off. His office is moving so he will be going right by the school anyway.
Just pray for us now that we can find some balance. As of right now along with what is mentioned above, my DH works full time and is on call every three weeks. We just took on the 7th & 8th grade Sunday school class on Sunday morning. We are still involved with the Jr. Church service during the morning service on Sunday. Wednesday nights we will be doing WOL with the teens. We are den leaders for our DS Weblos den. I'm the chairperson for the dens popcorn sale (which is coming up soon, BTW) and the Cherokee Area Council just recruited me to be the John Ross District Chairperson.

I took on way too many things a few years ago, because I figured Christians had to serve, and if I didn't do it, who would? I had way too much on my plate, that I didn't have time to make decent meals, or spend time with my family properly. Don't get guilted into doing to much and run yourself down! With two jobs, and all those commitments, it would be very easy to get burned out quickly!
And don't forget you need time for yourself too! And quality time with your DH!![]()
