Boat confusion

Hey everyone!
We'll be staying at WL late Oct. Say we have an 8:05 reservation at CP or CRT, and the park doesn't open until 9:00, how early does the WL boat run, and how long does it take to get to MK? (I so hate to be late to a meal!)

Should we use the boat for early ADRs or should we just drive?

I want to say the boats start running around 7:00 a.m., but I'm not 100% certain . If that is the time they start, you would have plenty of time to get to your ADR on time .

You have one other option... you can take the bus. The bus from the WL to MK is a quick ride.

I'm not sure what time the boats start running, so I can't answer that question.

The boat to MK doesn't start that early from WL. I think it's closer to 30 minutes before park opening.

But what you do is take the resorts launch (also at the WL dock) which starts a lot earlier - at least 7, I think. Take it to the Contemporary and then walk over to the MK.

Or as the PPs said, you can take the bus from WL to MK.

The boat to CR is your best bet. The early buses to the parks do not run as frequently as they do closer to park opening, so you could wait 20-30 min for a bus from WL to MK at that hour. The boat starts running its loop(WL>CR>FW>WL) at 6:45am so it is the best option for an early ADR at MK. Just as a side note, at 3pm the direction of the 2 boats on this loop reverses(WL>FW>CR>WL).

Thanks so much to all--how far is the walk from the CR to MK? My mom will be with me, so I'm hoping to limit the walking as much as I can.

Why not just take the bus? It will start an hour before the park opens and takes maybe 5 minutes to get there. Early morning boat service has not always been the most reliable from our previous experiences at WL - regardless of which boat it was.

I believe it is like a ten minute walk. The last time I was there was in December 2007, but I think I remember it taking that long.

We always take the bus for pre-open ADR'S at the MK, it's much quicker and you get off very close to the front gate. You can always take a boat back from the MK when you return to the WL
