Blockout dates!?!?

I was just coming here to say I just saw them as well. What the heck with the TBD? I've never seen that.
Yep! Can't make park reservations for the dates I'm there..tried different forms of admission and different parks...nope! Gotta wait some more!😟

Well your comps would work now. I ran into trouble with those because I can only have 5 types of admission, so MEP and 4 comps was the limit, and MEP is blocked. SO now I have all that I need, $900 later but I can relax and get excited about the trip. I was getting nervous about Park reservations, even though I already locked in Studios.

As a retiree, we only received 2 comps. So, that's only 1 day admission since this is just a quickie four day trip for my daughter and I. I'll save those comps for Saturday and hope and pray Thursday and Friday open up. I'm not buying tickets because shes pregnant and therefore not able to ride the rides we both usually love,I cannot justify spending $$$ on tickets for a reduced experience that's already been modified and reduced by Disney. So, we'll figure something out.

OH yeah my 6 comps a year days are over with retirement. I would buy the DVC gold AP if I could right now. If it comes out before my trip, I will get it and apply the current pass $$ to it. (But unlikely.) Just for the next year as things get back to normal.

I bought passes because my husband is coming for 3 days this time, he has not been in years. (has not seen Batuu or even Toy Story land). I wanted him to have a good time. I go 2-3X a year, I would be ok seeing less myself.

Just sent them an email via retirees website..here is part of what I wrote

..........So, I've noticed ALL of April is blocked out red. As you know retirees dedicated YEARS of our life supporting the Company, being brand ambassadors and sacrificing family life to be apart of this company. At the very least lift a few days a week after Easter...Retirees receive only 2 comps a year. So lifting a few days for current and retired cast members would be nice , at the very least to show your appreciation.......

Is it an April Fool's Day joke??
:rotfl2:Don't think so!! And what is sad is that I can make reservations with my comp tickets on any of those days. I know people that make reservations just to have them and don't end up going. Need to open more days for CMs!!

I just saw that the month of April is Blocked out for all parks.

Yep, that’s what I said. Hopefully they will release some days.

I saw it today, glad I bought my 4 day with 2 free. Hopefully I can apply that $$ to an AP if they start selling DVC gold APs. Because I will buy 2 of those.

Blocked out the entire month of April? All 4 parks? Why? I was just a bit surprised. I was expecting to have some sort of block outs but wasn’t expecting everything thing every day.

I expected Epcot and AK mid week to be available, the last 2 weeks of April.

It is upsetting! I know we are technically still at 35% but a few weekdays here and there wouldn't kill them. Why bother even working for the company?

OR, do what I have seen at DL more often, open to CMs only, not MEP guests. At least it is something!

Send feedback, email, to guest services via the hub! The sqeeky wheel.....

Does anyone have any experience selling their cast discount DVC? Since the closures, low availability for MEP and uncertain future availability we've been thinking of selling one of our 2 contracts. Do you have to go through Disney?

I sold mine about 6 years ago. Very easy to do. You do not go through Disney. You need to find a timeshare store that will sell them for you. They take care of contacting Disney for the right of first refusal. I used The TimeShare Store in Orlando but this is not a plug for them. They are the ones that I found online and did not search out anyone else. There are other places that charge less in commission. Do your research. With all the blockout dates, it doesn’t pay to have a timeshare there!

Thanks, I vaguely remembered something about having to go to Disney but have no idea where the contracts are now.
