Are Dahlia Lounge and Three Bridges or Toledo worth a special trip?

These all look so great, I'd love to try one or more of them on our upcoming visit. The day I'm thinking about going, we would be at Universal, so I'd probably take an Uber from there right to Coronado Springs. I figured we could do a drink/app at Dahlia and dinner at one of the others. For those who have eaten at any of them, would you say it's worth the trip (food, atmosphere, etc.)? Which is better, Three Bridges or Toledo? We're staying at BWV, so I'm not even sure what would be the best way to return. Thoughts?

We've eaten at Toledo several times. Our routine is typically to go to Dailia Lounge for a drink first and then Toledo for dinner. Always enjoyed the experience. Can't compare to 3 bridges though since we've never tried that.

Coronado is the hotel we stay at when we run out of DVC points. Three Bridges is a great option when staying there. It's affordable, has some good food/drinks, and the views are really great. Same can be said for the Dahlia lounge. But I'm not sure if go out of my way for it if not staying there....especially after a long Universal day.

Plus Three Bridges can sometimes be entirely reserved by a convention ....or at the very least be over run by convention goers ...which either closes it for the night to regular guests or makes the wait super long.

They’re all very solid options but tbh I really wouldn’t go out of my way for them if I wasn’t staying at CSR much less schlepping over there from off property. Three Bridges is walk up only as well and can tend to see long-ish waits at peak dinner times. Unless you get back to property relatively early it might be a bit stressful.

Re: getting home from there, the best way to get from any Disney resort to any other Disney resort that’s not in immediate walking/boat/monorail/skyliner distance is Uber/Lyft. CSR is much more centrally located on property than “AK Resort area” implies though. It’s actually just over the road from HS, maybe a 5 minute Lyft ride tops back to BWV.

I wouldn't want to be at Universal all day and have a definite time commitment at CSR. If you're finished at Universal early enough go to Dailia lounge. Maybe get on the waitlist for Toledo.

I'd have dinner by Universal
I do have a contingency plan. If we end up being at Universal longer than anticipated, we'll eat at Mythos. But it's Mother's Day and I was hoping for something a bit nicer.

To echo PP, eating at Universal doesn't mean you have to eat in the park for dinner. The boats in the center of City Walk make it very easy to get to PBH, Hard Rock, RP or SF and you can rideshare home from there. I'd browse their dining options and see if anything appeals. If you prefer to walk the closest hotel will be Hard Rock.

CSR dining gets a lot of love as it's unique and good- if you're staying there. I find it a hard sell if you aren't staying there but especially for you as you not only have BW/BC/YC but all of Swolphin easily accessible. (Il Mulino at Swan is one of faves!) If nothing appeals at Uni I'd keep it simple that day and just pick something in the Crescent Lake area.

Thanks, all. Looks like CSR is not a great idea/worth it. I'll check out some more USF options, though I really am hoping to be out of there by late afternoon. We are mostly going to check out the new HP stuff. So we'll rope drop USF, and we'll have an EP for IOA so hoping it goes relatively quickly. It's a low crowd day too.

I'm now considering Disney Springs? We didn't plan on going there, but it might work well that night. Boathouse, Wine Bar George, and Jaleo have openings, and it's easier to get to. Crescent Lake area is also an option, but we wanted to try all new this trip, and we've eaten at most of the restaurants in that area. ETA: we haven't tried all the Swalphin options, so I will look at those! I forget about them, lol.

If you're over at Universal anyway, I would recommend Strong Water Tavern over at Sapphire Falls. You can get there by taking the boat at Citywalk. The drinks there are really good, better than most Disney lounge cocktails IMO and the food is great too. It's not difficult to get a reservation either.

On MDE right now, there is lots of availability for Mothers Day, with Yachtsman, Shulas, Flying Fish, and I’ll Mulino all available. If it were me, I’d finish at Universal, come home , get clean3d up, and then prepare to be celebrated as u deserve in walking distance of your resort.

Toledos is often open pretty late which makes it a good choice at the end of the day. I’ve had dinner there as late as 10:30-11. Never needed a reservation when dining late. It’s a pretty big space. You mentioned Mother’s Day so I’m assuming you’re talking about Sunday. Toledos is closed on Monday and Tuesday..
