Have you every played with tarot cards?

I had a friend give me a deck of WAite/White cards. I tried to use them but could never get anything out of them. I guess they just aren't for me, so I need to get rid of them. What's this about not throwing them away? An old wives tale or ???

I've never heard anything about not throwing them away. Are they supposed to come back and haunt you? If they aren't damaged, you could donate them to goodwill or some other thrift type store, someone else might want to play with them, and keeps it out of the landfill.
