Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

I'm in, although I dont count much this year. DD is done for Christmas because of the Disney Store Sale, the only other thing I am lookign for is a Tiana dress for her, and I might get that when I am at Disney.

DH is getting car parts and tools that will sit in the garage until he comes home. He says he wants a camera but I know how beat it is going to get after being in the desert so unless I can find it really really cheap I don't know about that.

My one niece and nephew are done thanks to Disney Store clearance sale as well. I am also buying small gift cards every time I go to Walmart or Target and I am saving them all together to spend them later. I do it this way because $5 here or $10 there is managable, and as a PP stated, military families only have 11 paydays left. Plus, I have to ship DH his presents and they take forever out of our post office.

Love Black Friday! SIL and I call it "our holiday" We will do all the Thanksgiving cooking as long as our DHs do the cleaning and do something with the kids on Friday - with the distance between our homes we agree that the brothers and cousins need some bonding time, and so do we! :goodvibes SIL and I have breakfast, lunch and dinner out on Friday! But no 3AM for us, we head out around 8AM. :snooty:
Will watch and post as soon as those ads start rolling in!

Just found this thread. I am sooo in!!!! Black friday is my fav. holiday!!! :banana:not sure what I'm looking for. I tend to go so crazy and just buy up lots.

Yay black Friday!!! :) I think I look forward to this more than Thanksgiving itself! I love to buy gifts for people and see them open them! Can't wait for updates and rumors on this board!!

I'm in!!! Not really sure what i'm on the hunt for yet but can usually get the kids some pjs for good prices..this year I want a Keurig and might get the kids a Wii, i think DS2 will be too young to play but i know DD8 would...really depends on what kinda deals the stores offer up

I was just recruiting a friend this morning to go shopping with me on Black Friday...already! I can't wait.

Maybe this will be the year we finally replace our 14-year-old TV. But the price has to be really good :santa:

I have an OT question for all you BF early risers.

My DS's Boy Scout Troop is thinking of doing a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at a branch of a chain restaurant that is in a mall area with a Kohls, Old Navy and other stores that typically open early on BF.
My question is after getting up way early and doing all of you shopping, if you saw some Boy Scouts with signs for the breakfast, would you head over?

Thanks

Sure would. After a few hours of shopping, I am ready for breakfast. If I saw a chain restaurant doing a fundraiser, that would be my first choice!

Black Friday! My favorite day of the year!!! I'm on the lookout for a cheap netbook. Aside from that, just other things that are cheap: movies, video games, board games, any toys that might look interesting... Last year I got a grilled cheese maker at Target for a few dollars and my husband was like, you're wasting money on junk just because it's cheap, but I've gotten more than my money's worth out of that appliance :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I can't wait for the ads to start popping up!!

I would stop, but only after 10ish. But also a suggestions, if possible, maybe you can have the restaraunt prepare a few to go items specifically for that day, or even coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and muffins to go. I know the starbucks at our mall is absolutely packed black Friday morning and I would do anything to avoid it and still get my coffee!

I would be more likely to get to go items than sit down, we hit several stores for the early birds and usually don't have time to stop till breakfast. I would love coffee and pastries as I am leaving my first stop at 5am. We usually won't sit till lunch. We always say how a bake sale outside our Target while we are waiting to get in would be faboulous!

Ditto what others have said...I would definately stop, but only after about 9:30. Could you pack coffee/hot chocolate and doughnuts have have the boys serve to people waiting for stores to open?! That would be amazing!
