Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

I got a polaroid on BF for my daughter at target last year, $40 bucks. It's excellent./

I remember those at Target. I will watch for the Polaroid's to go on sale again. If I can get them that cheap, I'll pick one up for each of my DD's and my two sisters. I think the Flip's I got last year at 6pm were $50 each.

My wish list... Legos, Laptop, Legos, Legos and I think DS is wanting some Legos :rotfl2:

Last year the best deals on Legos came from Amazon with their gold box promotion. Got quite a few sets last year 50% off or more there!

Black Friday 2010 Sales start earlier says CEA

Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) sees Black Friday sales start even earlier than last year. According to Twice, CEA's DuBravac said at the CEA Line Shows event: "a longer Black Friday than ever this year. Retailers will be looking to drive momentum early, so expect very early promotions. Cyber Monday -- it's now Cyber Week. Events drive traffic; retailers have learned this, so expect more of it".

In 2009 we have seen the first Black Friday deals launch on October 30th.

I would agree that we will see earlier Black Friday sales events this year. There is still a lot room to start Black Friday sales already in October. Manufacturers also launch their new products for the holiday season earlier. Playstation Move will launch on September 19th for instance.

We will of course go with the times and will have expanded Black Friday, Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday deals coverage this year.

I'm in! Way excited about future Black Friday deals.

Hoping to score a deal on 2 smaller flat screen tv's for my two college sons dorms rooms. We are tired of lugging the big old heavy tv's to & from college plus they take up more room. Next a blu-ray player deal for me. Finally gem stone earring for my sisters, and of course the usual dvd deals.

Oh yay! Me too. I think we're finally gonna get a LCD TV this year. Both Hubs and I need a new cell phone. Not sure what to get the kiddos yet. They seem to change what they like every other day.

Back by request, maybe we should update?

Twas the night of Thanksgiving and black friday buddies were up late
Plotting and planning their big sale price breaks
Round the table they cut the bargins from the pages they'd snatched
With the hopes of a a free cd cabinet that latched.
They lined up in droves with the snow pouring down
But on their bewildered faces was nary a frown.
Through the doors they pushed through for 4.00 cds
where, or where might the cheap cameras be?
In store after store the bargins they grabbed
Bragging on their cell phones about the things they had nabbed.
And they cried as through the front door they went,
Merry Christmas to all my last dime is spent!!!

Last year I got a great portable DVD player for DS at Target. I would love to find another such deal...for me! :)

I am in...I usually go by myself and dh stays home with dd...not sure what we are looking for this year but I have a feeling it will involve either barbies or baby doll stuff. Someone put us on the mailing list for American Girl and dd decided she is going to save enough money to buy a bitty baby...if she does, we will probably buy a crib, stroller, highchair, etc to go with it...won't the AG brand but she won't mind. :thumbsup2

I am kind of sad for this Black Friday. DD11 - well she is still very much into legos, bionicles, etc. but I find her doing her ipod more and misc. non toys things. She is my only child so I fear I won't be in a toy line much this year. This is going to be a tOUGH year to know what to get a tween who is NOT NOT girly girl at all. She loves electronics but I am stingy on time with those. More to life than WII or DS or itouch!!!! Any ideas???

I think these are brand new! I've never seen them before yesterday!
Its the vtech vreader! They are really cute and DD played with the display for 20 minutes before I had to distract her with something else.
They are $60 now and the books are $20 each.
I am hoping they go cheap for black friday!
Anyone think they will even though they are so new!?

I'm on the hunt for tv seasons on DVD and anything Twilight series related so far.

Ahhhh... I can't believe I'm five pages late into this.

I have no idea what money is going to be like for this year. But there's a few things on my mind. And I know I'm gonna be on the hunt for a TV (my aunt really needs to upgrade).

Last year I felt like a made out like a bandit with all the help from this topic. I hope this year can be just as plentiful. Although some of my store choices are limited being in a smaller city.

I'm in. We'll be looing for Nintendo DS for DD7 and atleast 1 laptop for the college aged kiddos. Maybe even a DSLR or accessories.

I'll be looking for kids's stuff this year for nephews(8, 2) and niece(3). So mainly; legos, doll stuff, plastic food/kitchen stuff, and trucks as well as clothes. I try to get birthday presents on Black Friday because my nephew who's 8 has a December birthday.

I would also love to find a cheap laptop I don't have to stand in line for hours for, but that's a maybe. I would also love to find a new Kodak digital camera.
