Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

What are we seeing? My DS is almost 9 so he would use it for disney online games and club penguin ect. So nothing fancy but I want to get one that will function for longer than a few months. I saw the TRU one for 79.99 but it looks like the reviews are not that great. Is that the same one at cvs for 94.99 and kmart for 89.99? TIA!!!:goodvibes

I would absolutely not trust a Netbook for that price. Target has a very good one on sale this Sunday for $179 that is a good price.

If anyone is looking to purchase tag/tag jr books Target will have them in their 4 day sale for $9.99 each and they are buy one get one free. There is a $5.00 off coupon that you can print. I found link off of another site. YOu take a quick virtual test drive of a chevy car and fill out form and then can print the coupon twice. So if your store will let you use both coupons the books will be free if not then you can get two tag books for $4.99. I found the link in the Target Forum on hotcouponworld.

I printed the coupons, but looked closer and the ad says that Tag Jr. books are exclueded. Bummer!

I am going to BF @ walmart to get a few things. My two big items I need to get is the toddler bike for $29 and the pink leapster 2 for $25. I am planning on getting there around 10:30ish (the sales start at 12). Do you think I will have a issue with those 2 items? Are they high in demand?

my walmart usually has more lepasters than bikes so I would get the bike first then the leapsters.

I'm bumping up my question on the Apple store - any rumors yet or has anyone heard anything? If I remember correctly, last year we were already hearing about it and also seeing a picture of the flyer that leaked. :flower3:

Thanks,
Heather

The only thing I need is an ipod touch. From what I've seen listed, Wallmart and TRU have the best deal ($50 gift cards). I would prefer a TRU gift card but I have a feeling that Wallmart will probably have more in stock that TRU. Do you guys think I am wrong? I hope so. Anyone care to give me a strategy (re what time to get to the store) for making sure I get one at TRU.

Any info on Lego.com? Last year it was spend $100 get $10 off, $20 off $200 and $30 off $300. Is that pretty common for a Black Friday sale at lego.com?

I have a question about the DSI and the DS Lite. The Lite is only $90 at WM on BF. The DSIs doesn't seem to be under $150. Is there that much of a difference. My son is six and I want to get him one of these for Christmas.
Thanks!

Will the BF deals at Wal-Mart also be available online? I know they are doing some early BF deals right now, but I wasn't sure if they would also be offering the same deals they do in the stores early Friday morning. I am interested in one of the laptops they have in the BF ad.

last year, i bought a printer and digital picture frame that were part of wal-mart's doorbusters online at 2:00 am CT. the way i understand it, the sale starts online at 3:00 am ET.

Cindy-rella-I just saw that Target has the white DSi on its pre BF sale that starts Sunday for $119.

I don't think a six year old will know the difference and will likely enjoy the cheap version.

My boys are 8 and 11, and they definitely know the difference. The DSi has a camera and lots of cool stuff to do with the pictures. DS8 plays with that alone for hours. I think it is worth the extra $ for sure. :thumbsup2

I would hold off personally. There is a 3D version of DS coming out in March called 3DS. The prices of the other 2 should come down, or you could just get the newest/best in a few months.

What are you looking for in a digital camera? I love my Nikon DSLR but not sure Nikon has the best point & shoot cameras.

We are a Nikon family here as well- My teenager has a $1000 camera on his list- not happening.
I actually like my little everyday Coolpix one. I was thinking of that. But easy share might be a better way to go for her. not sure I have to get on the ball and start researching which one I should get her. Any tips would be helpful!

I was all excited to see Cricut Carts on sale for $20 until I realized they are the new "light" ones that are usually around that price anyway.

My DS6 tried out all of the DS's this past weekend. The lite, The DSi and the DSi XL. He like both of the smaller ones better. Didn't seem to prefer the DSi over the lite. I know that he will not really care at this point about the camera in the DSi. The lite uses gameboy advance games as well. So you might find some good deals there too.

This video may help some.

All I'm looking for are movies and TV Series this year.

Then, you may want to check-out your local Big Lots when they open at 7:00 a.m.

In the "leaked" ad on BFads.net, BL is going to be selling entire season sets of certain CBS/CBS-produced TV series for only $6.00 a set.

And, from the looks of the photograph, there aren't "bottom of the barrel" TV series...

But yes Best Buy does do in home setups and I believe I saw yest that Target does as well.

Yes, Target most certainly does offer in-home delivery/setup at many different price points (depending upon the service you need).

If you are buying electronics in the local Target store, these services are sold much like prepaid cards (and you'll find them hanging on a special pegboard display).

SPECIAL HOLIDAY BUDGET TIP: If you are wanting to calibrate your HDTV to get a more professional look, there are two easy, low-cost ways to do so.

Nearly all Pixar Blu-ray movies have an HDTV calibration program on the disc (just play the disc and follow the instructions) -- it's usually on the same disc with the other special features. You will need a Blu-ray player with an HDMI cable to make this work.

Also, for HDTV subscribers, HDNet runs a special test pattern where you can also calibrate your HDTV -- it runs every Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. EST (a DVR is recommended so you don't have to wake-up too early on the Saturday following Black Friday).
