Wow, is that time again??? Last year was rather disappointing....here's hoping for better this year!!

I get all excited about Black Friday, even though my little town doesn't have any big name stores and only one regional "department" store. I keep telling myself that if the deals are good enough, I will drive the 1 hour to the closest Walgreens or 2 hours to a Walmart or Target.....So far I haven't made the trip. Oy! That would mean getting up even earlier....

Over at Blu-ray.com, rumor is bouncing-around that Walmart will offer a Blu-ray player for well-under $100 (which doesn't surprise me, since they are already selling some for around $100, today).

Over at Blu-ray.com, rumor is bouncing-around that Walmart will offer a Blu-ray player for well-under $100 (which doesn't surprise me, since they are already selling some for around $100, today).

We got the $129 Magnavox blu-ray at Walmart last BF. It works great. Bought one for my dad too. It wouldn't surprise me if they had one for under $100 this year, but I'd bet on $99 as opposed to "well under."

They start at 5am. Most will let you line up in the store, some line up outside, and they'll unwrap/hand out the products starting at 5am.

My favorite time of the year. I have only missed it once since I was 14 and that is because my DD was born on it and the stupid DR. wouldnt let me even bring in a computer to shop..what was he thinking???
This year I want to do up my DD's room again. She has every toy under the sun (I have a shopping program and havent found a good 12 step program for it yet). I will be looking for a good Blue-Ray and flat screen for her (small but flat), a couple of outdoor toys and a good camera for me ooh and a flatscreen for our bedroom would be some icing on the cake.
I have to go by myself...last year was the first time I did that and I actually enjoyed not having to wait for folks love it!!

Wondering if anyone else did what I did last year? After my wonderful solo shopping I still got home in enuf time to do online shopping. I did that for Kohls and ToysRUs the 2 stores hat were too acked up when I went by them. It was great still got the black friday price plus free shipping. Only didnt get any door bargins.
