I am up 2#! Ackkkk, now I really feel like I fell off the wagon. It is so hard to get back on. That is one thing I am really struggling with.

I was wondering how you ladies would feel about this... I get so cought up in playing the numbers on the scale. I get scared when I loose alot (can't explain that) and frustrated if I don't. I think I want to put the scale away and bring it out in 50 days.

This would put me out of the running for the weekly biggest losers, but still in the running for the overall biggest loser. Would you guys be OK with that?

I just need to stop focussing on the scale, and rather focus on eating right and exercising.

If I lose just 1 pound weekly starting today, Feb. 6th, I will be:

By Valentine's Day, 1 pound lighter

By St. Patrick's Day, 5 pounds lighter

By Easter, 6 pounds lighter

By Mother's Day, 13 pounds lighter

By Father's Day, 18 pounds lighter

By Independence Day, 20 pounds lighter

I saw my ortho today and my shoulder is doing PERFECT!!! I can start moving it more. So I came home and did my exercises right away. Gotta do them 3X/day. Hey, it's exercise, right?!?!:lmao:
 
Another SLOW loser here. I'm down .8 this week. But I'll take any loss I can get.

Congrats all! Win, Lose, Gain, we're all still moving in the right, healthful, direction!

I am up .4 pound this week - guess not exercising when I was sick did me in! Here's hoping next week is better. Congrats to all the losers and maintainers!

Weekly Challenge #5 …this one focusing again on exercise/fitness!

Here is how it works; below you see a list of ‘tasks’. For the next 7 days you are challenged to complete as many ‘tasks’ as you can. During the 7 days of the challenge, keep record of a completed tasks and at the end of the week turn in your final total score to PRINCESS VIJA.

This challenge is on your honor system, be accurate and honest with the points you award yourself. After all, if you cheat you are only cheating yourself from forming healthy exercising habits ::yes::

Last week's challenge was a bit of a doozy.....let's simplify this week :yay:

  1. Award yourself 5 pts for every 15 min session of cardio exercise you complete -- sessions may include continuous, so 30 mins would be 10 pts --max 75 pts

  2. Award yourself 5 pts for every 10 min session of stretching -- including yoga and/or pilates -- max 75 pts

  3. Share in the weekly thread what your favorite form of exercising is (biking, running, powerwalking, yoga, etc) and why?? -- max 5 pts

  4. Share in the weekly thread what struggles you have overcome in making exercise a part of your routine? work schedules? burn-out? family responsbilities? Inspire others who face the same challenges! -- max 5 pts


Tasks #1 and #2 must be complete in the 15/10 min incriments. As mentioned continuous sessions in the 15/10 min time blocks can be counted; but say for example if you stretch only 5 mins that will not count. Or if you do cardio for 35 mins, you can count 2-15 min sessions, but the extra 5 mins wouldn't count towards your next session. make sense? You will probably be rewarded for those extra minutes though by the scale!

This challenge is meant to motivate you...not to stress you! You may choose to complete one or two of the tasks, or all of them. Let this challenge be want you need it to be.....to CHALLENGE YOU!

The challenge begins on Wednesday Feb. 13 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on Tuesday Feb 19th at midnight. Your final score must be reported in by Wednesday Feb 20th at noon (EST) in order to be included.


Suggestion – print out the task list and keep it handy to mark off each time you complete one for easy and accurate record

Well, if I did my calculations right, we actually have 63 days left!:banana: thanks ohMom for posting the final weigh in day.

I picked 50 because on valentine's day it will be 250 days until we leave for WDW!:woohoo: So I decided I will do five 50 day personal challenges. I need to increase to 50 days instead of 30 so I can try and get some of these changes I am making to not just be changes, but incorporate them into my life as lifelong habbits.

I didn't lose or gained for this week. Guess that is alright but I want to see some more weight coming off....lol I suppose I really need to look at what I'm putting in food wise. I'm exercising more so maybe gaining muscle and if that is the case I should see some weight lose soon. :-)
 
1) I like the challenge for this next week! Cardio might be interesting unless the weather warms up, but the rest I can handle!

2) I think I figured out why I'm not losing consistently! I joined SparkPeople and I have put in everything I ate the last few days. My calories are pretty much OK, but my carbs are sky high, my fats are a bit high, and my protein is way low. Who knew??? Guess I will have to adjust...

3) it is snowing like crazy here, and for the first time this winter we actually have measurable accumulation. Before it got dark, it was at least an inch, not sure what it is now... Glad I don't have anywhere to go tomorrow!!! (I guess I'll be walking laps around my kitchen!!)

4) Have I mentioned lately that you guys are the BEST!!!??!! Just wanted to make sure you knew that...:hug: :flower3: :love:

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.!!! I care for all of you. You keep me inspired, you truly do.

I am down 1.5 pounds this week. I am happy with myself.

As far as the gainers or maintainers, like it has been said before you/we are all winners for being here.

tmfranlk -- thank you so much for finding the post that I was referencing! It will help all of us along this journey.

Now that the final weigh-in date has been posted, we all have a target to go for. I for one, know that I will continue on my healthy lifestyle journey until I reach my goal of 120 pounds. Once that is reached I will try to maintain that by the healthy lifestyle habits that I have developed.

I was a bit off track this past week and gained one pound :guilty: I still haven't gotten completely back on track yet, but I'm heading that way :thumbsup2

I've been getting in more exercise, but I'm not consistent with it yet. Food (and alcohol) have been my downfall this week. I'm bound to do better with that though because the big issue is eating out.

Come on guys we can do this!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I really have to get back motivated!! I have a tendency to do this, where I do Really good for a few weeks and then just fall off the wagon and never get back on. NOT doing that this time!!!

Hi there, everyone! I've been M.I.A. for weeks now, but I've still been watching the scale. I started a third job a few weeks back and had to give up the gym for a few weeks because I was sick as can be. I am happy to report, though, that I lost four pounds this week! :banana:

I wonder how I am going to be next week with weight. I woke up with a nasty head cold. At least I am hoping it is a head cold and not the flu that is going around like crazy here. My body is slightly achy this evening which is leading me towards thinking it is the flu - YUCK :( :(

I will see how I feel tomorrow and determine if I should put a workout in.

On an upside, if I can't workout it will be good for me to really focus on my eating.
 
I'm down 5 lbs this week.

My computer crashed last Wednesday:sad1: :mad: , so I haven't been able to participate much my first week. I have a new computer now, so hopefully I can start to get to know everyone!

Congrats to those who stayed the same or lost and :grouphug: to those who gained.
 
I have to report i am up again this week. I really need to get on top of my eating and exercise. But i've been doing really well at wdw. Yesterday when we checked into riverside they said we had a package well annette said it was for someone else. She lied. When we got back to the room it was waiting for me. It was a cheerleader minnie basket from disney floral. I was so excited. I will post the picture when we get back. I had a meeting in the disney area today and it went really well. Well off to pack and get some sleep.

I'm stuck at the same weight, although I didn't actually get a week before having to weigh in since I just joined but just wait till next Tuesday! hehehe... all in all I did lose 11 lbs in 2 weeks!:cool1: Great job to all you who lost this week! Keep it up! er should I say down? :rotfl:
