YOu don't need a treadmill for WATP. The WATP has a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 mile worksout. Some uses weights and some don't. I have usually gotten them when they were on sale.

Dona is right. WATP doesn't use a treadmill. It is all about walking in place. She has 4 core moves: walking (marching in place), kicks, side steps and knee lifts. Great variety and with the different length programs you can move up with your fitness level. I love them.

Ok Dare2Dream, so how do you want us to send it in? I'm confused...didn't take much lol Do we just send in "I lost 3lbs" or do we send in "I now weigh 200 lbs"?

Yay Becky! I do believe we are staying right with eachother..losing about the same amount each week. I belive I'll either hit the eliptical (watch my recorded Biggest Loser from last night) or maybe hit the Tae Bo Flex DVD..

My eating hasn't been too great, I have a horrible toothache and I'm running out of healthy choice foods..especially snacks. We get paid Friday so i'll be picking me up some stuff then.

Way to go everyone on sticking to this!

As for me - I lost 1-1/2 pounds and am just thrilled... After weeks of flirting with the same pound, I am thrilled that I am losing again... My goals for this week are to stay on my plan and not cave to eating out because it is easy and to work out four days this week.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

Great job almighty super goof extrordinaire!!:worship:

I did pm my weight but realized I forgot to be happy here...
So I am down...1.8# this week for today's weigh in and that is a total of 5.4# so I am glad...but I know I can do better...day by day...need to get that challenge in my weeky routine!

Good Eats this week guys!!!:cloud9:

WDWLVR & Dona - Thanks for the info. I haven't even really looked at the dvd's, just assumed the "walking" part would mean a treadmill. And we all know about assuming.:rolleyes1

So I will look at these, maybe be able to find something on sale.

Thanks again!!!:yay:

I started a PM to Charity but decided to post here in case anyone else is confused. I am often confused about many other things, fortunately I have no problem reporting my weight to the weight keeper. I have decided though for accountability I will start reporting to my buddy. So watch out Amanda you will soon hear the awful truth.

The WISH Biggest Loser 4 weight reporting rules

#1
Report you weight each Tuesday by midnight. If you are late please report anyway as soon as possible.

#2
PM me or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. If using email please include your DIS screen name. Stating your loss on the weekly thread does not count, I need a report made directly to me.

#3
When reporting state your weight in pounds ie xxx pounds. You MAY use 1/10 of pounds if you would like ie xxx.x pounds. Reporting your weekly change to me is OPTIONAL ie I lost 2 pounds this week.

#4
If you know you will be away and not able to report a weekly weigh in please let me know ahead of time. Your weight keeper worries about you and loves to hear about your progress each week.

#5
Keep a personal record of your weight each week. In case I have a computer disaster and also to encourage yourself.

If you follow these simple rules you will be a member in good standings of the WISH Biggest Loser 4 challenge. You will be included in the weekly hair pulling, number crunching, eye straining, head scratching, #@%?*ing, tabulations. With hard work you could capture the clippie and be the reigning weekly Biggest Loser or at least one of the other 9 weekly superstars.

So quit goofing off and GET TO WORK!! Let's all be Big Losers in 08!!!!!

Have a healthy day!

Have you tried any of the butter sprays? I put the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray on my popcorn and it works out great for me. Just a handful of calories and I get the butter flavor on my popcorn. (Plus, I find it gets less soggy as I spray the top layer with 1 spray, eat it, spray the next layer, etc.

Yes, I have tried the spray. It is ok, I will probably switch to it in a little bit. the kids sure seem to love the spray!

i still love my Denise Austin's Shrink your Female Fat Zone -- needs stability ball and hand weights though -- great strength and toning exercises

look at your library for try before you buy -- most libraries have a stash of workout DVDs with their documentaries, PBS type stuff, sometimes you get to keep them longer than movies

i too am a WATP fan...i also like the 10 min Quick Fix, i have a pilates one i like and poweryoga. i used to have a strength training one but i literally wore it out!

i forgot to ask thisin the begining of the challenge... and i will probally find it right after i ask... but how long does BL4 go?? is it the entire year??? Just curious!! lol

Hi Everyone,

Thought i would update you on Oprah and Chicago well on the train home. Oprah was amazing we did a show and a segment. We arrived early and sat around for 2 hours while they said that the morning taping ran long not sure if this was true because Oprah told us she had to go see the eye doctor because she had something wrong with her eye:confused3 . The show was Dr. Oz and about your true age how it can be reversed. We sat in the back center of the studio on left hand side in the center of that section. We were sitting with these other girls pre show and one of the ended up right next to the other dr on the show. They dont know which day in Feb it will run but we know it will be after her birthday. Then they taped the segment which will air on feb 6th. It was Chris Rock via sattelite. Wow i loved that one make sure you watch it.
Today was pretty much Breakfast at tempo, Oprah, Back to hotel to pick up luggage, dinner at the station and know a train ride then a bus ride. We will be finally home around 1:00 am.

I cant wait to be back where i can eat at my normal times. I am someone who should eat at the same times everyday otherwise caution is thrown out the window and so are diets. Last night we were both hungery around 10 so raided the gift shop and got baked chips and a bag of m and m to split. Then breakfast was eggs cornbeef hash, potatoes and toast with homemade marmalade(sp) which i love. Then for dinner it was chinese take out. All the walking i did yesterday i could have lost weight but i gained it today. O well back on plan tomorrow.

Buddy- I look foward to hearing from you.

Has anyone tried the tapes on netflix download? I signed up for a trial on the train yesterday and saw you could download them.

This place is HEAVEN!!! I can't begin to tell you all the wonderful things we did just today. But if you go to my WL blog, it's all there.;) (the link is in my siggie!)

I DID try 2 new veggies today--fennel and broccoli rabe. Didn't like either one. Took an awesome cooking class, had a facial, walked probably 1.5 to 2 miles at least, had great meals, and played Bingo (and WON!!)

Congrats to all the losers--y'all are doing GREAT!!

ohmom, I have always like Denise Austin though I haven't watched her in years. I used to watch her shows when my dd was a baby and I was trying to get my figure back after pregnancy, lol. Her workouts are deceptively tough!

I just really like how sweet, calm, and encouraging she is, without being overly fakey-chipper in an annoying way, KWIM? She's so cute too. (and of course, a great bod!) I wonder how old she is now, she looks amazing.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, the Weight Keeper speaks

We started the week at 88 participants plus 3 newbies (1 newbie gave me weekly numbers for her). I have dropped 6 people that expressed interest on the original thread or were assigned a buddy but have never checked in. I had 10 not reporting folks this week, 3 have never checked in after supplying an initial weight, 7 did not check in for week 2. 1 person is at WDW this week and 2 newbies will start reporting next week.

Thank you to the 72 participants that have reported their weight this week. We had 8 gains, 6 maintains, and 58 losses.

After some late reports last week our net loss was 147.6 pounds. This weeks net loss is 113.1, our total cumulative loss is 260.7 pounds.

And now (drum roll and fanfare please)

Congratulations superstars!! Keep up the great work!!

How did you do this week? Are you a superstar? Well you could be next week. Just work hard, eat less, move more. Get with the program. Do what works for you and keep working at it. I know you can do it.

Have a healthy day!

Great job everyone... this weeks a new week!!!

SunDAY, MonDAY, tuesDAY, wednesDAY, thursDAY, friDAY, saturDAY... See, there is no someday!

Congrats to everyone sticking with it. :cool1: I have becoming really discouraged. I have been working out and counting points buy only losing 1 pound a week. I really felt it should be more.

This is usually about the time I start slipping off and going back to my old habits.

But then I thougt Hey 1 pound a week is 10 pounds by the time we head to Disney and 20 by 4th of July. Not bad when you think of it like that. So I will keep going and reading here on the DIS.

My goal this week is to increase my work out by 5 minutes everyday and to participate on this week's challenge.

Take Care Everyone and Thanks for Listening :)

PS

CONGRATS TO LYNNIELOU - My Buddy for making the top ten list
WAY TO GO !!!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone and a huge way to go to Carri! Nice job! :thumbsup2

I've really been enjoying the challenge this week. The breakfast part is easy but the great reminder of water has really helped. The no fast food has been tested but I haven't given in! I haven't been good in the fruits/veggies (always a struggle for me) so no points there. What I've enjoyed the most is taking that 20 minutes and focusing on something just for me instead of snacking. Last night it was looking over some circle journals I received and planning my pages for them.

flafan - I know where you are coming from but please don't be discouraged. I've been working out more than ever before and watching my points and the scale only moved 1/2 pound this past week. Still it was the first time in about two months that I had a loss two weeks in a row so for me that is a victory. Stay with it - you are worth it!

Congrats to Carri and all the top ten. The numbers that we have lost in the last two weeks are impressive. I know how hard it is to become discouraged. I hardly lost anything in BL3 but had to stay positive since I was a captain. It was not easy but I think that helped get me in the mind set for this BL round.

Keep up the hard work everyone. You can do it. One pound at a time. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

WAY TO GO !!!!!!!!!

I think that's an excellant way to look at it! Slow and steady wins the race. All of your hard work will pay off in the end. And to borrow an earlier comparison, that's 40 sticks of butter that won't go on your Disney trip with you. Keep up the hard work!

Thanks WDWLVR for your comment. Just have to keep reminding myself daily, hourly and everyminute. We are worth it and it can be done.
Have a great day :goodvibes

Congratulations Carri and all of the other Superstars this week! The numbers are looking great everyone. Keep up the hard work.
