Biergarten without Pork

Are there options? Is it worth it? Curious if anyone has any experience going for non pork eaters.

There is roast chicken on the platter. I eat pork but that was my favorite of the meats. Oh and there were meatballs too, which I believe were beef.

We don't eat meat outside of our home....so I have always figured the Biergarten buffet wouldn't work for us. After reading about vegan options recently, I am excited to put the Biergarten experience on our to-do list for our next trip. The current family style service includes a vegan platter option with two plant based proteins and veggies. Maybe someone who has tried it can share their thoughts.

Correct. Everyone was seated at their own table, and tables were spaced, when we were there a couple of weeks ago.

The one reason I haven't tried this place before was the shared seating. But I would have much rather shared a table than have had everyone suffer through this terrible pandemic.

I generally expect Disney table service restaurants to have vegan and/or vegetarian options...and there is a disboards thread that is informative.

There are a few Disney vegan blogs that are current. They post reviews and have lists of vegan options. Some have off menu/modifiable options.

This place is a waste of money with or without pork.

I've never seen more than 2 people dancing on the giant stage and the tables are usually empty.

It's funny how subjective taste is. We ate two meals a day in the parks for four days this week. Everything from Be our Guest to the fancy French place in Epcot. Every single person in our family thought the Beirgarten food was superior to the rest. And our family has varying taste in food. We each found parts of the family style meal that we loved.

The entertainment was fun too - especially the Christmas songs.

It's pricy. $46. It's all you can eat, but they brought us so much food that none of us asked for seconds.

It's funny how subjective taste is. We ate two meals a day in the parks for four days this week. Everything from Be our Guest to the fancy French place in Epcot. Every single person in our family thought the Beirgarten food was superior to the rest. And our family has varying taste in food. We each found parts of the family style meal that we loved.

Well to me when you pay $50 it's not just about the food but the entertainment.
And the entertainment is like a 3 man oompah band and nobody dancing.

Ragland Road in Disney Springs has a much better entertainment and in theory you could just buy a soda to watch the Irish dancers and band.

And the Frozen house has all the Princesses.

I has just updated my post at the same time you posted this saying I liked the entertainment. Sure, its a bit silly, but it it fun enough and very fitting for the environment. And food is the priority for me. We don't have young kids, so princesses don't appeal. Love Irish dancing though, so we will check out Ragland next time.

$50 is very pricy for what you get, but I have come to expect that with Disney, so I don't factor it in too much. If I was on a tight budget, I would not recommend the place. You could get a much much nicer meal offsite for that price.

I've been there twice and both times it's just been a 3 man band and only one couple dancing from the buffet.

The venue itself is nice but it has two problems. The price point is too high so I've never seen more than maybe 15 or so guests in that vast place that seats 300.

And two they need a band with at least 9-15 people and then at least 6 authentic german dancers.
