What do you think is the best time of year to go to Walt Disney World?

What about for swimming & least crowded?

I say go! Right now! Get outta here! It's always a good time to be there.

But seriously, for us it is usually the second week of December. No crowds, the weather is mild and it's never more festive than around Christmas.

Late March and early April are a beautiful time to go, great weather, no rain, no humidity, but due to spring breaks a little more crowded.

:wave2:

We went in early Oct in 2002 and the crowds weren't bad. By that I mean we hardly ever waited in line for a ride. However, it was hot.

I would guess November would be good for weather, and I just read that after Thanksgiving and before Christmas were the best times to go as far as crowds.

The first couple of weeks in December are very nice, but you may not be able to swim as it can be a little chilly. This is my favorite time to go.

We went in October several years ago and it was wonderful. Low crowds and nice weather.

We go most years at the end of October, early November, and that's been a pretty good time to be there...Warm enough in the daytime to swin if you want (most days), but cool enough that you aren't worried about bursting into flame at any moment...and the crowds ain't bad either ;)

We're gonna try the week before the week before Christmas this year, so maybe I'll say something different after that (if I can just explain to our (then) 4-year-old DD that she's not gonna be able to ride Small World :( )

I like going in September. It is cool enough to not suffer and warm enough to still tan. We usually go two or three times in the fall and once or twice in the Summer. I live in Destin so not too far!!LOL

September was really nice last year. Low crowds, not as much rain as we have seen in August. Have a great time regardless!

First couple weeks in Dec, low crowds, great weather, value priced and THE DECORATIONS!!!!!

Welcome to the DIS. :wave2:

Anytime is a good time...but not in late May through Sept!! Sept is a "lovebug" season!! and Sept is still HOT and humid! late May can get very HOT too. We were there this past late May and it was in the mid 90s!! It was too darn HOT to do anything! So we missed a lot of rides and attractions.

I would go with what Dan said. Early Dec is very nice. We have done this twice already. The crowds...there is no crowds. I love the weather! Temp around 70s-80s with very little humid. Best of all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas spirit everywhere!!

How true!!!

My favorite time is mid to late October. Great weather and low crowds and MNNSHP!!

I enjoyed going the 1st week of December also, but there was not much time prepare for Christmas when we got home, so I would probably not go again at that time. (Well, maybe once or twice...the decorations are beautiful!!)

Our favorite time is late October/early November -- great weather, light crowds, MNSSHP and Food and Wine festival. :)

Early May was nice when the Flower & Garden show was going on...:D

We went the second week in December. Decorations are great! However, it was COLD!!! Low 30's at night. I called home to Vermont and it was warmer there:rolleyes:

Let's see...I've been in September, October/November, December and January (I avoided it like a plague in the summer time) September is still pretty hot. We were there two years ago and temps were in the upper 80s and low 90s I believe. The one time we went in December (it was the second week of December so the crowds were still low) they were having an unusually warm week or something and it was still hot. Of course when we went in mid-January it was nice...cold at night though, but nice during the day. No lines at all. That was back in 1999.

The best time we've ever been is for Halloween. We get there on the 31st of October and get to go to the Halloween party and stay through the first week of November. It's still warm enough during the day to go swimming but it's not like insanely hot. The lines are very minimal. You usually don't have to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes in lines. October 31st is the first day of the value season too, so that's why we show up on that day. I highly reccomend that time of the year to go.

First 2 weeks in Dec are best low crowds, mild weather and the parks are decorated for xmas
