Looking for the best breakfast(s) at DW, based on the food only. Just going to be the wife & I, and characters really don't do anything for us. Would actually rather there not be characters, but if the food is good enough we'll go.

TIA

We love Chef Mickey's, but it's partially cuz of the atmosphere....We are trying the Wave in the Contemporary for the first time, and the breakfast looks yummy....It's table service in a modern stylish restaurant...quite a few choices, and it's somewhat reasonable.

I would definitely say Boma. On my trip before last, we stayed at AKL and had breakfast there every morning. :) The food is excellent. I also very much enjoy Ohana's breakfast, characters and all. And of course, Kona is always excellent too.

Tusker House. It does have characters but there are so many different choices at the buffet.

Boma...I've eaten there 5 times since Feb 2009 and it has been consistently wonderful.

I second Boma. Tons of options, more interesting than your average breakfast buffet, made to order omelets, delicious juice, good coffee, great service and more relaxing than most other Disney breakfasts.

Not sure if you and your wife are morning people, but...we had a 7:30 AM ADR, since we wanted to make it to rope drop at Epcot. There were hardly any people in the place, absolutely no lines at the buffet and it was quiet and relaxing.

Boma at AKL has a good buffet breakfast. If you are looking for a la carte, I would also recommend Kona Cafe at the Poly.

Definitely Kona - Love the juice, tonga toast and macadamia nut pancakes - and the Kona pressed pot coffee is the best.

Yeah kona and Onhanas are good to hear because I am doing both when I got to DW YEAH :thumbsup2

I have to vote Boma or Kona Cafe.. I would suggest Whispering Canyon at WL because I love their breakfast but some people done.. It can get a little loud and somewhatthe same atmosphere as a Character meal at times...

My favorites are Boma and Fresh.

I also loved Spoodles, which has now been replaced by Kouzzina, but some of the menu items are the similar (for example, the vegetable flatbread). Anyway, Kouzzina's breakfast menu looks interesting and different than so many typical breakfast menus at WDW restaurants. My family will definately be trying this place on our next trip. You might want to check out the menu and consider giving it a try as well.

We had Kouzzina breakfast last time we went and I thought it was pretty great, maybe better than Spoodles. We'll be eating there again for breakfast on our upcoming trip.

If you'd like some different flavors and maybe like a breakfast cocktail with your meal (both the bloody Mary and sparkling white sangria are ridiculously good), I'd give it a big recommendation.

Yet another vote for Boma!

I love the beautiful atmosphere, the frunch juice, the excellent selection of foods, and the ability to try something a little bit different, along with having all of the traditional breakfast fare available.

Our favorite is a character breakfast ('Ohana) but a close second would be Kona Cafe. The food is very good and we love the setting. We haven't tried it yet, but we have read/heard good reviews of the Grand Floridian Cafe. The menu sounds wonderful!
