Day five was supposed to be a fairly laid back day. I had made priority seating arrangements for breakfast that morning at O'hana. I grabbed our cameras and off we went.
We got to the Ohana at about 9:15. Our PS was for 9:30, so we were good to go. We got our little spaceship pager thingy, and settled in to wait. That's when Rick asked the dreaded question..."Did you grab the digital?" I had left it in the van. So while Rick was off getting the camera, I was desperately praying that our space ship pager thingy would NOT go off. Sometimes God says no. I had to ask the cast member to please let some folks go ahead of us until Rick got back.
After We were seated, we were able to relax. Ohana is amazing! The air even smells like fresh pineapple. We got our pineapple friendship bread and the fun began!! The kids were given noise makers and instruments, and instructed to march in the kids parade. Before you knew it, there were kids all over the place marching to "I just can't wait to be King" Of course, I had one of my liquid Pixie dust attacks!!! I took a couple of pictures, but it was hard to focus through all the pixie dust pouring from my eyes. You all should have seen Josh, Benji and Grace. That, folks is waht Disney is all about. Seeing the magic just reflected in their eyes to the point that you just are teary.
Our food came shortly after that. We had Mickey waffles, fruit, sausage and eggs. It was served family style in the center of the table. The fruit was delicious and the mickey waffles were SOOOO good.
The characters came over and fussed over Benji. I think Mickey was a bit concerned. I was pretty teary at this point!!! When Mickey found out that Benji was a cancer survivor, Benji got the deluxe Mickey love. Josh was excited to meet his idol, Goofy. It was just a really wonderful experience for all of us.
From there, we decided to look around and possible resort hop a bit before heading to Downtown Disney. We ended up not being able to do this though because the resort Monorail had shut down.
After getting to Downtown Disney, we did a bit of shopping, and then headed back to GKTW Village. Our family was hanging out in the Castle when Josh struck up a conversation with a volunteer. It turns out this volunteer was a friend of Goofy's. She made a call on her cel phone, then pulled my husband aside. This angel had arranged for a private Meet and Greet at Cinderella's Castle for the day we were going to be there. We thought, oh, it's going to be nice, and maybe we'll meet a character or two.
