Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

Ooh, when can we come over? I saw the ham and cheese thing won. I would make the Mimosa a Bellini with some peach nectar and Prosecco. Yum!

Ooh,...Bellini's! That's a great idea....I may have to switch. Although the reason I was thinking Mimosa's was so that the mom to be (and anyone else who declined to imbibe) could have just plain OJ. Decisions, decisions....

Yesterday we walked up to Les Chefs de France for lunch :thumbsup2 Had a very long visit with Remy--who loved DS's purple mohawk! Food was very good and DD got to practice speaking French because DH told the waiter to only speak French to her

It was a very hot day, so I tried my 1st Peach Snap at the Joy of Tea stand in China  That really hit the spot! Also enjoyed a couple of Strongbow Ciders (and tried the Woodpecker, but I prefer Strongbow) and of course finished the afternoon/evening at Epcot with a Grand Marinier Slushy :woohoo:

Any idea why I'm not getting much done on the blog? :rotfl2:

Honestly, it's not the booze; it's spending over 12 hours in the parks that's wearing me out. We were at Epcot from 11ish till 8ish and then went to MK till it closed at midnight.

I will try to update the blog later but for now I'm gonna go drink my coffee and relax! :surfweb:

I much prefer Strongbow as well (over any other brand of cider). I first starting drinking cider during a college trip to London, and Strongbow was the first brand I tried there, and has been my favorite ever since. Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but the American brands just don't hold a candle to Strongbow!

And a Grand Marnier slushy to boot....I now officially hate you!!:rotfl:

Wine and Water

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine..and those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
in beer there is freedom,
in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials,
scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli,
(E. coli) - bacteria; found in feces.

In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when
drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whisky or other liquor), because alcohol has to go through a purification
process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poop Wine = Health

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
than to drink water and be full of crap.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service

So now when people call us lushes, we can tell them that there is a medical reason for it!:lmao:

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I was just reading an interesting article on the Las Vegas Restaurant world at the moment and thought I'd pass it along to you since I know many are planning trips or just love to go!

Here is just a bit and the web page for the full article is below! Some deals to be had right now as in every place you travel -

Also I am off to Sonoma for our Ann. in 12 days. We have been before but am always looking for new ideas if anyone has been someplace wonderful they would like to send my way! We are doing Cyrus and staying in Healdsburg but right now that is all we know for sure except back to a couple fav. wine places like Iron Horse!!

:flower3:

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibesAlready sin city has become a sandbox of incentives, discounts and promotions, where even luxury properties like the Bellagio are offering free hotel nights, plus gambling, food and drink coupons to their club-card customers.

Some economizing tourists are fleeing their casinos to dine off-Strip. But neighborhood restaurants are under growing pressure from the Strip, since residents are being courted as never before by casinos with “staycation packages” that include restaurant meals.

And so, amid the hawkers and escort-service card-flippers, a dizzying profusion of bargain-eats signs are competing. They include giant come-ons for the “$5.99 New York Steak N Eggs” at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon; the mammoth billboard at the Tropicana Casino & Resort vaunting its “Legendary Lobster Special $19.95,” and the ultimate deal, the Siegel Suites billboards proclaiming “Live Here Eat Free.”

On the high end, there is a desert fiesta of advertised “summer tasting menus” at the MGM Grand ($60 at Craftsteak, $59 at Shibuya, $45 at SeaBlue, $39 at Nobhill Tavern). At Aureole and Mix in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, there are new prix fixe menus. Also offering deals are Mario Batali and David Burke in the Venetian, Wolfgang Puck at Spago in Caesars Palace and reduced-price “Taste of Wynn” promotions (including $36 menus at Society Café Encore and Daniel Boulud Brasserie).

And though the 66-seat Joël Robuchon still offers a 16-course $385 menu dégustation, it now serves two courses for $89.

Done. Happy to help. It's a slow day. They are doing concrete work in our yard...and I have to be here. Here's hoping the new footing on our deck is better than the old one.

Elin, that's hilarious! :lmao:

Michelle, I posted a "hello" from you over on the other thread!

I'm clueless, but that's never stopped me before. :rotfl: I popped over and said hello on your behalf as well. Happy to help rib a friend. ;)

thanks... I keep getting messages wondering who all of these people are...:rotfl:

I think I may go for the 10,000 tonight... but then again... I'm tired... :upsidedow

I love you guys!!!! You're the greatest... (right next to Nan...:lmao:) :worship::worship::worship:

BTW... Nan hasn't signed back on since this morning... :rolleyes1

Just got home ... I bought a CRV tonight. Did you know that in MO a car dealer will let you "forge" your spouses signature on all documents and its OK?

:confused3:lmao::scared1:

They didn't even verify our income - but I saw our credit scores when I pulled a bureau at work this afternoon - they were throwing money at me by the time I said I wanted to buy.

So I'm mostly happy but a little sad because I really loved my passat. But after it broke down three times in the last week after those wankers said they'd fixed it, I just didn't have any faith that it would last me through the rest of the week, let alone through next year, which is really when we wanted to trade it.

So yay for new cars with Sirius radio and heated seats!

Congrats on the new car!!:banana::banana:
It is sad when you say goodbye to a car you really liked.
Do you name your cars? We're strange folks here. Our new Focus (well, 2004 but who's keeping track) is New Paint. Our old Focus is Old Paint. We just keep rotating the names as we occasionally change cars over the years. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
