Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

It's cosmic...

Of course Bendy would have Pate' with hers... and wine... ;)

For Grammy above: we get the whole grain, high fiber pasta that still looks white and tastes the same. I think it's either the Barilla brand or Smartzoni or something like that. I like whole wheat pasta but dh is much happier with the healthy white!

And I remember where I heard Phinaeus yesterday---on House Hunters. The couple had had their baby when they showed the update 6 months later. "And this is little Phinaeus' room...".

Ok, Bendy, where are you and what kind of pasta are you having tonight?

I'm having chicken dipped in batter and deep fried to a golden crisp, with a delicate sweet and sour sauce on the side. Along with julienned potatos...............yep, I'm having McDonald's!

With Bendy’s blessings I am posting this meatloaf recipe. Keep in mind the instructions were written with my newleywed daughter in mind.

Enjoy!!!

Meatloaf Wellington

2 eggs
½ c ketchup
2 ½ tsp seasoned salt
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp ground mustard
1/8 tsp pepper
1 lb ground pork
1 lb ground beef
½ c chopped onion
3/4 c dry breadcrumbs(or oatmeal)
1 tube of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.

In a bowl, beat 2 eggs, ketchup, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper. Crumble meat over mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with onion and bread crumbs; mix gently. Place in one large loaf pan.

Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 160-170 degrees.

When done, drain loaf pan of as much greases as possible. Pat top with papertowel to blot. Invert meatloaf into a 9x13 baking pan that is covered with more paper towel. Blot entire loaf as much as possible. Now invert the meatloaf onto a greased cookie sheet.

Roll out crescent roll dough and pinch seams. Cover top and sides of meatloaf with dough; trim excess. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until pastry is golden brown.

And as soon as she drags herself off the couch after the whole box of truffles... ( I SO envy you!!!)

& ALL recipies greatfully accepted...

(even meatloaf ones...)

The story of meatloaf in OUR house is that we can't make it... doesn't matter if it's Aunt Sally's guaranteed to be spectacular recipe... we are cursed. My mom even threw out a meatloaf once and the racoons hitting the garbage threw it back...

So from then on... we eat Meatloaf out...

MA pigletfan and D&R love Diseny: Not that you asked, :lmao: I live in North Easton. We're neighbors!!

Cntkg1: Thanks for that meatloaf recipe. It sounds amazing and I might even give it a try. I always think I don't like meatloaf but then I usually enjoy it when I have it!

I'm really enjoying all these shared recipes.

Here's a pic of our "back on the diet after all of the holiday boozing & gluttony" dinner last night.

Super easy meal but really yummy. Seared Tuna Steak with wasabi sauce & toasted almonds. Mixed Fresh Vegetales with toasted almonds.

IMG_1211a.jpg

I marinated the tuna in soy sauce, fresh ginger, wasabi paste & fish sauce before searing in a hot cast iron skillet. The mixed fresh veggies were steamed in soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger & Sirachi (sp) sauce (the asian one with the rooster on it.) DH & I shared one steak & each had a large helping of veggies.

Are y'all doing just Home Food Porn? I have some pics from Emeril's Delmonico in New Orleans, if anyone wants to see them. We celebrated my b-day there last week. Please don't ask how old, :scared: it was a big baaad one!

Ok, I don't think our chicken nuggets and mixed veggies are going to look very impressive after that! :rotfl2:

We will look at any food porn so bring it on!:cool1: And we can talk about anything, so don't worry that it just has to be about food!

what does tuna steak taste like?
Is it real fishy? I've thought about ordering it before, but I don't like a real strong fish taste.

WOW! Just caught up and boy, was I behind. It has taken over an hour to read all the posts. But I wanted to share a quick fruit dip recipe that is soooooooo easy and really good. Here goes:

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 jar marshmallow cream

Let cream cheese come to room temperature then blend/mix together with the marshmallow cream. Dip whatever fruit into it. Yummo!!!!

Pretty dang easy.

I know I am pretty slow, but I so enjoy this thread. Thanks for all the enjoyment everyone!

Amen!

Chris, your dip sounds like something even I couldn't mess up :rotfl: .

I heard a joke on the Comedy Channel and had to share:
"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Then find someone whose life has given them vodka and have a party." That's a philosophy I can appreciate :woohoo: .
