Connie: The Bodybugg sounds amazing. I'd read about it somewhere else on, but it's so useful to have someone I know and whose opinion I trust review it. I like the idea you can choose your own eating plan, and the pie chart is so useful for someone like me--a much more visual person than numbers one. I need to consider this, because I love my gadgets. (A Garmin probably needs to come first, though.)
Shan: Great news on the time. Like I said, you earned it. Are you still thinking about, or are you going to do, the CMM?
Dave: I'm a little late to the Panda-pushing party, but I'll add my two princess cents. Points can be taken away at any time, for any reason. They may expire at the discretion of said princess awarding them, just as they may be awarded at said princess's will (a will which is never ill, mind you, simply fair and just). As for style, every princess has her own, which is what makes her special!

That said, the Panda knows the best way to lobby for his panda points to be reinstated and I'm sure his princess will recognize his efforts & respond accordingly.
Great job on the lawn mowing, tready, overall WO, and of course on owning a scale that is nice to you. (Mine has a grudge.) I wouldn't mind a PM with the link to the weight training site, just for the instructions of course. Naked bodies...meh.
Lily: You're right on with the absorption of protein being difficult in veggie/vegan diets; I didn't type in that information (too lazy of me). The book is a very good one, and I'll try to post more information when I get back from WDW. It's a bit of a dry read, very academic, so I skim most of her chapters--they're filled with summaries of reports, lots of citations to research, etc. But I kind of just want to get to the bottom line, you know. In the meantime, I do feel more energetic, so I'm inclined to think well of the book even if it's a struggle to get through it (sort of like
Chi Running). I probably should see a nutritionist, but right now I feel more in control if I'm doing a little reading on my own.
Oh, and scar talk. Hah! It made me think of the NPR "Car Talk." I love that show.
And in case I haven't mentioned it, I think your consistent weight loss is fabulous! I really think you're going to be able to maintain this for the long haul.
Tracey: Tell your DH ITA.

Show that sexy scar off (not mine, so I can say that). I so think you can do a sub-3:00 race. I'd like to run the full this year, but I'll be keeping an open mind to the RW, as it's so enjoyable to drink my PowerAde & not drown in it.
Lisa: So, does your busy schedule make you want to run, run away.

(Geez, folks, I'm really sorry. It's one of those pun-filled days for me. I really can't help it.) I'm so happy that you got great NB lime-green gear...and for those prices. It almost, but not quite, makes up for your never-ending winter and soggy spring.
Beth: You tech-issue story is so funny, primarily because I can see that happening to me. (And similar things have happened to me.) Thanks goodness for good friends! I hope the rest of your day went smoothly.
Stacie: Isn't it weird, how we can actually feel like we got better WOs (and do get them) when we have to MAKE ourselves do them? There's something about overcoming the mental challenge/resistance as well as the physical. I always feel extra-strong when I do that, even if the physical WO is so-so. Your WO, btw, sounds like it was challenging. I hope your chiro appointment was not, though.
Vic: Ah, JD Black Label. Now you're talking my language. I hope you got a good run in, where ever the weather took you. I still say I should be allowed to play with the cars, especially since it would allow me to bond with Timmy. Original Bill agrees, too. (Yes, I'll speak for him here.)
Maria: I may not eat your yogurt, but I do eat yogurt for lunch and as a treat. With blueberries & granola. Mmmmm. See, I like my sweets, too, and fruit is a favorite. I think you've got great ideas/eating habits in place. I hardly ever eat salads for lunch, but do munch on raw veggies. In my rotation I include green & red peppers because I like the taste combo. I also eat celery. If I'm craving protein and good fat, which I often do, I'll bring some PB or hummus for the veggies, especially the celery--it takes the edge off the hunger. Or apples slices & PB. I've also found what I eat for breakfast has a huge impact on my day--I go for oatmeal, fruit, and some protein.
And for a mid-afternoon pickup, visualize Bob holding a protein shake!
I'd suggest Spam, but I don't eat it. (Did when I was a kid, fried with an egg, at my grandmother's house. I remember thinking it was...okay.) I haven't seen Spamalot, but want to. I have visited the Spam Museum--which was a hoot and included an exhibit on Spamalot.
As for me: I'm getting ready for the trip, which increasingly occupies my free time. We don't fly out until Friday, as it really is just a weekend trip, but my time on the DIS will get more sporadic as the week progresses.
In preparation, I tried on my summer shorts & capris, which I have yet to pull out for Pittsburgh weather. You know how you have those different sizes for your different sizes? Well, I have three sizes of clothes, roughly: my ideal-goal clothes (or as I like to call them, "Do you really think you're going to see that size again?"), my feeling-good-about things clothes, and my "let's try to hide the thighs" clothes. Well, I'm happy to say that I comfortably fit into my feel-good shorts & capris, something that was very touch & go last summer. I haven't lost a lot of weight, but it looks like I have been shifting those pounds around.
