Bank of Canada interest drop=exchange rate worse!

Oh goodie.:headache:

ETA.. Just checked...I wasn't too happy with the 0.81 on $1 last week. Today Royal Bank cash exchange calculator is saying 0.78 on $1.

I just have to cross my fingers it stays where it is now until we go away in March, because this is a last minute budget trip and this is really cutting into that budget.

So great to have made final payment on our cruise before this! Whew!

:headache: :headache: :headache:

(that's one headache icon for every trip that's going to cost us substantially more this year.....drat!)

And of course, it just couldn't have waited to drop again until after we bought our October flights this Sunday.....sigh :sad2:.

I know you mentioned you might check Pearson. It might actually work better for you for some of these flights. Maybe try Hamilton (YHM) too. I don't know what their Orlando schedule is like these days but it's a nice tiny airport :)

Yes, we're keeping an open mind about flying from Toronto, but its not looking good. All of Air Canada's flights are on Rouge, so that's out (Steve will have a hard time fitting in their seats). Westjet's prices are really, really high....$1100+ for two a return flights, and that's without baggage or seat selection. I haven't checked Hamilton (do they offer non-stops? :scratchin ) but I will definitely do so tonight!

I'm not sure where you're located, but you may want to consider Kitchener as well. I'm booking on American for $450 round trip in August. It's worth it for me as I'm local and I don't have to pay for parking or gas to/from Buffalo or Toronto.

They do but I haven't looked in a long time. I think there is more flights to Orlando in the popular months (winter) than other times of year but I can't remember where I heard that. I know SunWing and Westjet fly from there. I'm not sure about others.
