Good day everyone! Belated Christmas WISHes for my fellow BOTers! I'm looking forward to a pleasant entry into 2011 with New Years Eve being right arouind the corner.
Leslie~ Welcome! I have had the pleasure of meeting you a couple of times. I'm glad some of what your Mom and Dad seem to enjoy (running) has rubbed off on you.

Given your location in Texas (when you are not home in MA) you should have a leg up on most of us for training during the winter months.
As far as my training... I've done nothing since my long 18+ mile run. I am still feeling the hamstring off and on. I guess we'll see what happens out there on Saturday and Sunday at WDW. The PF has not been an issue for days and days.
Lou~ Cam and I talked and we'd love to come and scream team at the Caesar Rodney Half in March. This will be reminiscent of two years ago when I broke my foot and I hobbled around to scream for you at several locations on the course. That means access to the warm office and clean bathrooms! Score! We can talk closer to the event. Sorry to hear you are still feeling the effects of the groin injury. Also.. I fixed my BOT Water bottle, thanks!

In some exciting, TOTALLY unrelated news..., Cam and I may be "expecting"!

Back in the Winter of 2010, we heard that my son's school (Salesianum) was going to offer a student from Haiti an opportunity to come to the US to attend their school during what would be his senior year. The school was looking for possible host families to host the student (Junior Nelson). We stated our interest, but were not selected. Another family, the Vanovers, hosted him from August through December. At the moment, he is home in Haiti visiting with family and friends for the holidays. When he returns to the US, the school thought it best to move him to another family for his second and final semester so he can get another "different" experience during his stay here. Cam and I were contacted by Salesianum to see if we'd like to host him beginning on January 15. Of course, we said yes! We are waiting until the school opens up next week to work out whatever details may be necessary. We'll also meet with the Vanovers and Junior to plan the transition. It's exciting for us. There is a wierd, almost fate-ish twist with Junior Nelson. He was referred to an Oblate at Salesianum School by a pastor (Tom Hagan) doing missions work in Haiti. Father Tom Hagan has been in Haiti for a long time doing missions work. Following the devastating earthquake, he spoke with the Oblate (a good friend) at Salesianum to set this up. Father Tom Hagan is the priest that married Cam and I back in 1984 at Lafayette College! We haven't heard of or seen him since our wedding! We had no idea until we gathered more information. That is just too wierd. When we heard that, we wanted to be involved. I'll keep you all posted, but at this point, it looks like it will happen.

If I don't get back on here, I hope you all have a wonderful NEW YEARS celebration with your loved ones. I hope 2011 is a healthy, happy one for you and those you hold dear.
