Baltimore BOT-Fest

Hello Not-at-Disney-Bots! We suck. :thumbsup2

It's supposed to snow here today. Not much yet.

I'm not doing much this weekend. Watching football playoffs...shoveling snow...maybe a run? How 'bout you?

We were supposed to get a little snow this morning but got nothing.

The number one thing that I will be doing this weekend is ordering cribs. We will have babies in 12 weeks or less and, as of now, have no where to put them (apparently, it can take a long time for cribs to come in)

We have a forecast of a dusting of snow tonight too.

YES, we are lame BOTS when we start talking about the weather.

Anyway, next year for Disney, right?:confused3

Cindy good luck with your crib search! 12 weeks, can't believe it!:dance3:

Cindy - TWELVE WEEKS??? OMG! You'll be doing a different kind of marathon then :thumbsup2. I'm so excited for you! Cribs, cribs, cribs....don't get me started. :lmao: I want pictures of you, the babies' room & Matt trying figure out how to put the cribs together.:rotfl2: How're you FEELING?

Colleen - Weather updates.... LOSERS!:rotfl: Uh, yeah. Next year? Disney for sure!! Might even stay until Tues. since Spencer will have his license by then & be almost 17. He can stay home & take care of the house & dogs while Bruce & I come down.:thumbsup2 It's payback time!

Seems like our BOTS are doing pretty good down there yesterday & today.:woohoo: :dance3:

Waiting for all the race reports! popcorn::

Started in Epcot, ran to and through MK, to and through AK, then started the run-walk-cry-repeat cycle to and through HS and back to and through Epcot. Pretty much what I had anticipated and came in under my goal so I'll call it a success.

Unfortunately, I have no interesting stories to tell other than the guy that obviously drank too much Powerade and heaved COPIOUS amounts along the side of the road just past half way. Wow!

Kathy did great and I'm very proud of her.

I took the bus back to HS to cheer folks on and wait to run in with Kathy. That was nice because I got to see Howard , Chester, Jen and many others. All looked great!

Also, big kudos to Judy. She knocked her first full out of the park! Fabulous job!

I wish you all could be here.

I wish we were all there, too. Excellent time, Mike. Much better than that morning we ran it in together. I'm so proud of ALL you guys :grouphug:

Would have paid extra money to see that dude hurling his Powerade :rotfl2: I love that stuff. I mean Powerade....not watching people suffer. ;)

Hey Bots, I had a great time in the half, and got to see a lot of good friends along the way including Jen and Butch.

I had an amazing experience at the finish line in the media tent for the full marathon today. My report of that is on the blog. I can't post a link via my phone, but if you're interested it's at DIS Unplugged dot com

I've found myself missing the rest of the Bots though.

:dance3::dance3:Mike, kathy, Jen, Butch, Dave, Judy, Charlie, Howard, Chester, Bill, Kristi all y'all good job!!:cheer2::cheer2::dance3:
I was tracking you all, very exciting. It was a beautiful day here today but a little cool, so FL must have been excellent weather.

How much snow do you have? We got almost nothing here - maybe an inch or so.

We did manage to order our cribs this weekend. Estimated delivery = 10-14 weeks. Estimated delivery of the babies = 9-12 weeks. Should be interesting to see which one gets here first!

Holy crap, we've almost got 12-15 inches & it's STILL coming down . My back already hurts!!

HOLY CRAP AGAIN! That's cutting it kinda close, dontcha think? :scared1: Can't you go to Sears or something & get a few cribs? I guess they'll be sleeping in bassinets or the like for the first few weeks anyway, no?

NAMES????

I'm not that worried about the cribs. We are going to get a bassinet co-sleeper thing for them to sleep in when they are newborns. I would, however, really like to get the rest of the furniture that we ordered - a dresser so I can put away their tiny little clothes away and a glider/rocker thing for me to sit in while I feed them.

We haven't finalized names yet - we have about 4 top choices - but we've also decided not to tell anyone until they are born.

Hey my friends, in case you haven't seen it here's the video I shot while running the half marathon. You might see a few friendly WISH and Bot faces in here.

I'm still down here leading my group of students at GKTW. My wife is getting dumped on with snow at home, and I'm wishing I was there to help her. She's great letting me come down here with the students, but I know it's hard for her to be on single parent duty at home.

I don't know if anyone's had a chance to look at the photos on ASI, but they've added a clip of you crossing the finish line. That's something I haven't seen in the past and it's rather fun.

Hello Bots :yay:

I was thrilled to be able to see so many of you in WDW, but have to admit it wasn't the same with the post full dinner in Germany.

We had a great time! The weather was perfect for the races with made the whole thing a better experience. Butch and I did the half together and had fun stopping for every photo and running into Dave at mile 8 (we even made it into his video :happytv:) For the full Butch ran his own race and totally rocked it in 4:15 :thumbsup2 I was really happy to have Kathy in my corral for the start and am in her debt for the trashbag-- someday I'll learn to pack :confused3 My race went pretty well despite a lack of music due to an ipod syncing mishap. I managed to stay fairly consistent and did not implode at the end like I usually do-- wasn't able to make up any time in the last 5 miles, but managed to keep running. Finished in 5:18--34 minutes better than last year and still have my sub 5 hour race to aim for in the future.

Cindy and Matt: good luck with baby prep!!! I agree that all you really need in the beginning is a bassinet or pack-n-play, so no worry about the cribs.

I guess I should go do some work now, check in again later.

Anyone think that I can be ready for the Goofy by next year?:rolleyes1

I actually had a dream last night that I gave birth to the babies in the morning and then ran a marathon that afternoon. Um, yeah . . .

Mike - Are you doing the National this year? If not, any other local race plans for March? It would be fun to try to come out and cheer when I am the size of a house!
