My kids are at Art, so I've got a minute to Dis.
I feel like we will finish the summer trip's rain out night at MK and departing day this week, and then next week we can start showing the pictures from this Halloween/birthday trip. That way it'll be closer to Halloween, anyway.
I love the fact that I was at Pop Century yesterday! I don't know if everyone has a resort where they feel most comfortable, most at home, or whatever, but I know we do. Pop just feels right to us. It was okay at All-Star Sports, and I've walked around/eaten at Movies and Music, but they don't make me feel like I feel when I walk in the front door of Pop and see that big Everything Pop sign. Jill feels it, too, and I promise you, Brooklynn knew that place as soon as we walked in. She sped her little feet up and headed right toward the girft shop! We just love the feeling we get when we're at Pop. It could be that it has a special place in our hearts because of our 2005 vacation that started this whole Disneymania. Whatever it is, it felt good to be there.
It was a good way to end our trip. We ate breakfast and shopped, and Jill allowed me a few pictures, but I didn't get much. She had to drive all day and wanted to get started, so against my will and Brooklynn's, she made us get in the car to come home.
I was jealous of all the people lined up at the bus stop ready to go and have their magical days.
I think they were all laughing at me and saying, "Ha, ha, you have to leave and we get to stay!" as we pulled out of the parking lot.
I'm pretty sure they were.
I might have been silently pouting in the back seat. But it was silent.
Truthfully, I could have no reason to pout, because I am so very blessed to be able to go to WDW ever, much less over and over!
My day was unmagical. Florida is a much more exciting state when you're traveling south than it is when you're traveling north. The south highway is so filled with excitement, and the north highway is...icky, yucky, boring. I don't like the "coming back" side of the Florida highway. I had to ride in the car all day, headed toward home, and the swelling in my leg/ankle/foot was bad, as was the pain. I had to sit in the back with the leg propped up to the front. The pain gets intense sometimes, but the time we had was worth it. It'll go down by Wednesday and the memories we made will make the memory of the pain fade very quickly. We had an unmagical stop at a McDonald's along the way, too.
Cherokeemamma, we did stay in Perry. They were having the GA fair, so it was crowded. We got there at a decent hour and left out early in the morning, so we didn't see much of it for very long.
I'll do better at replying to all later. I have to go straight from school to a workshop tonight, and I could possibly want to fall asleep during that, since I haven't had much sleep in the past many nights.
Thanks, Jill, for going with me. I had an excellent time. You are the bestest daughter a mom could want! Thanks for putting up with me.
