Tell me about it! I just de-Christmased our home. The place always looks so naked afterwards.

We go back on January 4. What about everyone else?

:wave2:

Hi girls.

I can't believe break is almost over. I've not had a moment's peace since we left school on the 21st.

DH had the house cleaned when I got back from Disney, and well, Christmas took care of that. I did manage to unload a good amount of things that the kids can't fit in anymore or don't use. Now if I could just tackle my kitchen.

I'm planning to download our Photopass pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to see them! Daggone dial-up keeps me from viewing them, but I'm getting them at my parent's house when I get the kids tomorrow afternoon. :teeth:

The paper has been keeping me busy too. Four games in two days and it was a blast! They also honored me in print by choosing one of my pictures from this past summer as photo of the year. They also printed up one of my favorite pictures from the state basketball championship - I think I shared it with you guys... the one where one of my kid's strips the ball mid-shot from the opponent. It wasn't photo of the year, but it was prominently featured on the front page of the paper AND above the fold on the front page of the sports section. It was pretty cool. They managed to snag me credentials for Super Bowl week, but they wouldn't let me shoot the actual game. Bummed, but it was expected. :) Still pretty dang cool!

Hope you all have an amazing New Year's Eve!

I think I've made a reservation everywhere! I think I'll end up driving a lot, because I'd hate to rely on Disney transportation too much. I'll drive anywhere except the Magic Kingdom.

Disney transportation can eat up SO much time....:headache: When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't, it's just plain awful.

And I won't even get started on my "scooters on buses" rant.

What? I had to delete my own rant because I can really go off on those myself.

kwitcher--I wish we had someone as good as you taking photos of our basketball team. These are the best boys I've seen play in a long time.

Honestly.

Legomom--Disney transportation is sometimes great, sometimes not. Now, if I plan to be at MK early in the morning, then I will drive, because I know I'll have a close enough parking spot not to have to take a tram. I expect we'll drive for our 8:05 am reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table. And then for our last day before we leave, but otherwise, I just can't drive to the Magic Kingdom.

I, with the rest of my party was really surprised we didn't see more on our trip.

ITA with you ladies. I'm all for using them if you need them, but there are those, if they would just put a little effort into it, wouldn't want it. That's right... it's bypassed "need" and gone straight to "want. ::yes::

And I think it would be a good idea for people who decide to use one learn how to drive one before hand. Okay, that's the end of my Public Service Announcement.

My problem is that they are truly being abused now and no one wants to fuss about them because of a lack of political correctness.

It's not fear of political correctness, it's fear of being sued. You can never know if someone really needs one of those things, so people that don't need them get them, then are the ones most likely to go nuts if you make a comment.

So true. It really is frustrating for people. I probably should have gotten one in December of 2009. But I certainly didn't because I felt that if I could tough it out, I should. It was my own darned fault my feet were hurting--it was because I weighed almost 200 pounds on a small 5' 2" body without proper shoes walking 10-15 miles per day. And to be honest the best thing for me at that point was to walk 10-15 miles per day.

I'm not trying to put anyone down. I'm just saying there are some who need it and some who don't. And now the ones who don't are hiding behind the rights of those who do.

Okay now that ends my PSA for today.

...wow. We had one stinkin' week....

Same here. :confused3 But I'm all for getting the kids out sooner in June, so I guess it's ok.

...thanks for sparing us....popcorn::

You're welcome. See, I really do like you.

:rotfl:

...it's that same sad feeling one gets when sitting at MCO waiting for your flight home after a WDW vacay....:guilty:

Ugh. Worst. Feeling. Ever. :sad1: Followed closely by sitting at your resort waiting the Now-Not-So-Magical-Express bus to bring you to MCO.

daisyyy -- congrats on the pup! Cute. But I don't envy you house-training!!! :scared1:

Morning babnanas! Happy New Year's Eve!! If you're doing something fun this evening, STAY SAFE!

I'm sitting here this morning enjoying my coffee and some warm cinnamon rolls, watching the freezing rain coat the outside world. Not supposed to amount to much so I'm hoping we don't lose power. The power co. has been out in force lately cutting back trees near the lines. Let's hope it does the trick.

Not much exciting planned here for today. It's a major cleaning day and I'll probably get in some scrappin' later (time to do the pics from my May '10 solo...!). Other than that we'll get Chinese food for dinner and probably watch a movie!
