PAmom--I don't think you can have a wireless modem with dialup. In fact, I'm pretty sure you cannot. Every wireless modem I have ever seen has a broadband connection to it.

Issues with dialup is one of the reasons we got rid of the house phone and went to satellite internet (now internet through our cell phone provider).

PaMom - I have a Lenovo but I've never seen this optimizing thing? Don't know what that is. Do you have a little toolbox button near your keyboard anywhere? You might find some help in there. Mine is 2-1/2 years old now, though, which shouldn't seem that old but you know how computer technology changes almost daily!! Sorry I'm not more help. :guilty:

creativeamanda -- I read your latest post on your TR and the comment about your DD getting a bit "teenager" on you re: your trip this year. I just wanted to say that if she pulls a 'tude on you and doesn't end up wanting to go......

I'LL GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning. My son and husband are ice fishing. Not too many places are safe. Need more cold. I might go out and visit them later. Tomorrow is back to school. Oh and I'm working tomorrow. :banana:

Have a great day!

Can you tell me more about this Live365, please?

Can you tell me more about this Live365, please?

It's an Internet radio site (just live365.com). It has all manner of music stations, but happens to include a ton of Disney-related music! I've been listening this morning to Splash Mt. queue music, the Main Street loop, Soarin' exit music....:cloud9: You can listen for free (with ads) or sign up for any of several paid (and ad-free) plans.

If you go check it out, a few of my favorite stations are:

* Mouse House Radio
* Park Hopper Radio
* Radio Buena Vista
* Sorcerer Radio
* MouseWorld Radio

Just type "Disney World" into the search and you'll get a whole bunch!!

kimmar those boots are adorable!

Sadie - I like Reedy Creek radio too. Can't get Live365 at home... damn dial-up. Mouse House doesn't suck either! :rotfl2:

I managed to reclaim my kitchen yesterday. I went to the grocery store and swear I entered the wrong house!

Had my folks over for our traditional corned beef and cabbage on New Year's Day. I think my oven was on from 10a-6p yesterday. I also pre-prepped a pork loin to do some pulled pork later.

I also found out via FB that a childhood friend of mine is planning to take her kids to WDW. For 2 days! :faint: This summer... on a budget. Her friends on there are giving all kinds of great advice.

I've got work to do!

Kwit I would love to hear sometime about how you do pulled pork! A guy I work with apparently makes it all the time so it can't be too hard!...:rotfl2: I love me some pulled pork.

So.....WDW in 2 days, in the summer? :scared1: Well good luck with that! I assume it's a first trip?! Hope it doesn't ruin her on WDW for good. That's exactly the kind of set-up that can.:sad2:

Anyway have a good day!!

I actually break it down in two installments. I'll slow roast it in the oven then sauce it up when we reheat it the next day.

I usually braise the meat in chicken stock and aromatic veggies (celery, carrots, garlic, onion, and salt - you can add pepper, but I can't have it). Cook it low & slow and cool it overnight. The next day I'll break the pork apart and take out the fat. Put it in a saucepan with a SMALL amount of chicken stock (< 1/4c) because it helps to curb some of the acid from the BBQ sauce, then add my favorite BBQ sauce until it's saucy enough for us. Heat it to temperature and serve.

From the looks of it, they've done 2 days before then gone to the IL's. They want to do it on a budget, and as we all know, you can't really do budget for 2 days... the cost of the adult tickets alone is half the battle. I referred her over to Undercover Tourist and told her NOT to stay on I-Drive. I'd like to talk her into a value, but I'm guessing they don't want to pay over $89/night.

I'm also assuming that she thinks the girls are too young for a "proper" trip. I can only do what I can!
