Steve!!!

From the laid back one, LOL!!!

Hi fellow cruisers:

I am thinking about staying up until midnight tonight so I can practice saying "Tomorrow I am leaving for my cruise", but I do have to work all day Thursday.

We are almost done packing - we are up to 10 suitcases, 2 for shoes alone. I ditched the water bottle idea. I think we will just pay 3.00 a bottle when we need water. Hey it is vacation.

I booked the Getaway deal in Castaway Cay (bike, float and snorkel rentals) for all but my mom. We are planning a handicapped accessible excursion in St. Thomas that I booked direct (it is not offered through DCL), and we are planning a trip to the St. Maarten Zoo on our own as well. My kids want to see a Capybara, which my son says are exclusive to the Carribean and South America, so I agreed to take them over there for a couple of hours in the morning.

I also confirmed my rental car, the Radisson and Ft. Wilderness Cabin, and made some Disney dining ressies for after the cruise.

I am starting to think about my Spa reservations. How about everyone else? Any Spa treatments on your agenda? Michael and I will definitely try the Surial Bath, but I wanted to pick something else too.

One last question, for those of us going from the Radisson to the port, do you think I could dress my boys in swim trunks and t-shirts? Or do you think it is more appropriate to bring them on the ship in a dressier outfit? I hear that first afternoon is a great time to go for a quick swim and I thought they could do that while I make my Palo and Spa arrangements. (supervised by my Mom, of course) Do most people board the ship in their "Sunday best" and get changed after they board or does anything go?

Trish

Trish,
Don't feel bad, I took 3 suitcases for 1 person last March.
I don't think it would be a problem to board the kids with swimsuits and T-shirts. They take a family portrait, right before you get on board, but everybody is in comfortable cloths. Especially if the kids want to swim when they get on board.

I understand your kids wanting to see a Capybara. Did they know that there is one in Animal Kingdom too??. Years ago, I read a book that had a capybara in it and I was so excited to see one live.

Also, an offer, I am joining the meet on Friday night, and if you would like me to pick up a 6pack of bottled water then you all can have bottles for the ship, and just fill them up. That is what my friends and I did. Just let me know, it is no trouble at all.

Looking forward to meeting all you staying at the Radisson on Friday night.
Lynn

Hey everybody, I changed my countdown clock, I couldn't take it any longer. I will leave the house, after the last second, ticks off Friday morning.

"I'm Pumped, I'm Pumped, I'm Pumped" My heart is starting to race again, what has happened the past few days, is over and now behind me, "I AM LOOKING FORWARD FROM HERE ON OUT!!!"

Let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!

Lynn,

That is so sweet of you to offer to pick up water for us! We will each have a water bottle with us, that we will use on the plane. How was your experience drinking the water on the ship? Is it better than the tap water at Disney? If it tastes ok, then we will use your suggestion and refill the water bottles we are bringing with us. Thanks so much for the offer though. I look forward to meeting you in two days. I am sorry you are not sailing with us. I'll bet you are too;)

Hmm, since there are Cabybara in AK, maybe we could forgo the trip to the Caribbean Zoo. Where in AK would we see them? We are spending Sunday after the cruise in AK.

Thanks for the info.
Trish

Andy,

What time are you leaving? We are leaving at 11:00 to drive to LaGuardia Airport in NY. My countdown timer reflects my flight time, 3:15 PM, but as far as I am concerned my vacation starts 6:00 Thursday night when I get out of my office.:bounce:

My countdown timer has been reset for the time that we leave for the airport. Our flight time is 2:55pm on Friday. But we are leaving the house at 10:00am, we are flying out of Atlantic City.

Thanks for the birthday greeting, Andy. I appreciate it. I hope all of you have a wonderful time. Be careful to pace yourself. Your heart might not take it. LOL:p
