Hi fellow cruisers:
I am thinking about staying up until midnight tonight so I can practice saying "Tomorrow I am leaving for my cruise", but I do have to work all day Thursday.
We are almost done packing - we are up to 10 suitcases, 2 for shoes alone. I ditched the water bottle idea. I think we will just pay 3.00 a bottle when we need water. Hey it is vacation.
I booked the Getaway deal in
Castaway Cay (bike, float and snorkel rentals) for all but my mom. We are planning a handicapped accessible excursion in St. Thomas that I booked direct (it is not offered through
DCL), and we are planning a trip to the St. Maarten Zoo on our own as well. My kids want to see a Capybara, which my son says are exclusive to the Carribean and South America, so I agreed to take them over there for a couple of hours in the morning.
I also confirmed my rental car, the Radisson and Ft. Wilderness Cabin, and made some Disney dining ressies for after the cruise.
I am starting to think about my Spa reservations. How about everyone else? Any Spa treatments on your agenda? Michael and I will definitely try the Surial Bath, but I wanted to pick something else too.
One last question, for those of us going from the Radisson to the port, do you think I could dress my boys in swim trunks and t-shirts? Or do you think it is more appropriate to bring them on the ship in a dressier outfit? I hear that first afternoon is a great time to go for a quick swim and I thought they could do that while I make my Palo and Spa arrangements. (supervised by my Mom, of course) Do most people board the ship in their "Sunday best" and get changed after they board or does anything go?
Trish
