Yikes -- I have 42 pages to catch up with. However, before I do, I thought I would post the (drum roll please)......
Budget to Port Transportation Information (FINALLY)>>>
The following are all the rates I could collect from three shuttle services. However, at the bottom I have also included the approximate cab fares should you wish to just secure a taxi for your family.
NOTE: These are rates from the Budget Rental Car location at 249 East Ocean Blvd. #104, Long Beach to the L.A. Cruise Terminal. Also, all vehicles have room for luggage and include tax (not tips except for mini-bus).
Prime Time Shuttle: [reserver must pre-pay with credit card]
7-passenger van - $66.00 plus 15% tip ($11) = $77.00 or $11/pp
9-passenger van - $80.00 plus 18% tip ($14) = $94.00 or $10.44/pp
Karmel Shuttle: [reserver must reserve with credit card, charged to
CC 10-days before scheduled pick-up date. Cancel
up to 3-days prior with 100% refund]
10-passenger van - $108.00 plus 18% tip ($19) = $127 or $12.70/pp
25-passenger mini-bus - $270.00 (incl. tip) = $11.00/pp
Super Shuttle: [reserve ahead, no deposit needed. Pay driver upon
arrival]
7-passenger van - $61.00 plus 15% tip = $71.00 or $10.40/pp
9-passenger van - $81.00 plus 18% tip = $95.00 or $10.55/pp
Estimated Fares from Pacific Cruise Ship Terminals (from United Checker Cab Co-Op Site). I tried calling their number to get fares
to Cruise Terminal, but it would not let me call outside the L.A. area:
LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) $40.00
LBX (Long Beach Airport) $33.00
SNA (John Wayne/Orange County Airport) $70.00
Disneyland/surrounding Hotels $60.00
Amtrak Train Downtown Los Angeles $50.00
So.....discuss among yourselves (and don't get ver klempt) and give me some feedback on what you all want to do.
My thought is if you are coming with your family members, it might be cheaper for you to get a cab then to pay per family member.
For those who have expressed individual interest to me, I have sent you a PM.
Cathy
