Actually its an Easter(n) Orthodox thing Pam :)
Janet and my wife's family are Ukrainian. Its their Easter this weekend.
I go along with it only if I can get an Easter egg, or day off of work :cool1:

Cheers,
Grumbo

So, Grumbo, does this mean you get two Easter eggs, one for each Easter? And two lots of days of work? If so, I think I could be part Ukrainian!

Luckily did the Church thing this afternoon! Another Holiday under the bridge!

Now can start to really concentrate on this cruise!

Hello everyone - I haven't been here for quite some time; and now I come calling with a very strange request... We booked this cruise the first day it was available for myself, DH, DD, and DS. Our two children have since decided that there is no way that they can miss school. DD will be a junior in college and DS a junior in HS. Anyway, is there anyone out there who happened to book on opening day, for 2 adults in a Cat 6 that would be willing to let me know what their cost was. I need an idea what it would be for just DH and myself to go. Our travel agent is out of town and it's really bugging me. You could email me with the information or post here, whatever. Thanking you in advance.

Beware, DCL may decide to charge the 2 of you at todays rate for dropping the other 2. I think that would be pretty damn mean, but they are with in their contractural rights to do it. I am paying almost 1200 more to add my mother to my cabin, when I booked at 175% of the P/P rate on day one, I only paid 2100 or so.

I hope they just drop the 3rd and 4th person rate and leave you at the day one.

Outahere -

Thanks for your reply - yes, they were charged as adults. I called DCL, but because our reservation is now with a travel agent they were unable to help me. Hopefully, I'll know something definite by Tuesday. Our original documents say final payment is due June 21. I sort of remember that changing to 90 days out which would mean May 19. Which is it? We had almost completely given up on this cruise until we thought of this. Now we're in a money crunch (as I'm sure a lot of people are).

Oh man, don't even say that! If that would be the case - our stateroom would become available. I don't think they would being that the original first 2 on the reservation are staying the same, but you're right - you never know.

Originally, we had till 60 days out to pay final, but any changes made now put you at 75 days out. Thus the date change.

For what its worth, we got a Cat 6 for 2 adults on day one through DU for $5581 minus the DU rebate of $200. Don't know what DCL will do now, but that gives you a rough idea of the "early "pricing

Hours are going by with no posting :confused3

We picked up more outfits today & shoes ..... loved dropping off the little extras into my temp. storage location. Plus more T-Shirts came from Cafepress.

Busy weekend!

DD's school auction was Friday night. Lots of fun! We were high bidders on Mini-golf and pizza @ Bullwinkles Family Fun Center, In school field-trip for DD's 2nd grade from Mad Science (I told her she gets to pick the experiment), and a reserved parking space @ her school for when I volunteer or pick her up, etc. I thought we did pretty good! DH thought I bid too high on the parking spot but he doesn't know what it's like to park around there. Plus, it is tax deductible! :cool1:

Drove up to Tacoma today for a Karate Tournament. DD placed 1st in weapons (again) and 3rd if forms (again). She got her butt kicked in sparring though. Happened so fast she did not realize she had lost! :rotfl: So, 1 big trophy and 1 medal. She loves karate!

Starting to round up bags and getting things together for WDW in 2 weeks. DH laughs because it takes two weeks to pack for a one week trip. So, I guess for the two week cruise it will take me four weeks to pack! :rotfl2:

DD has one more day to complete TV turn off week! :cheer2: 7 days with no TV is KILLING ME! Who's idea was this?

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Posted this on the DL thread, but thought i'd post it here too.

We went to Disneyland today. We had 3 reasons for going. Buy APs for my cousin and her family, look at our brick that was just installed, and check out the murals. We did the first too, and I started for Disneyland. My daughter said she wanted to go to DCA. Since I did ask her what she wanted to do next i couldn't tell her no. So off to DCA we go. We enter the park and there are people lined up for a parade. Knowing they only one is Block Party Blast and it hasn't officially started yet, we decided to go take a look. We found a spot right behind some people. 5 minutes later the parade started. There are 3 main sets of floats. First one is Toy Story, second one is Monsters Inc., and the third one is Bugs Life. The incredibles show up in the blocks. They also have trampolines. All the floats come out and stop, then they play jump, play with toys, scream, and dance. Lasts about 15 to 20 minutes then moves on to the next stop. I would say if you're at the very end it would be an hour before the parade got there. I know there were 3 stops, and probably a 4th. We watched it at the front, then went near the end and watched the third stop.

When it first enters the park, at the first stop Bugs Life is will stop near the entrance to Hollywood area. Monsters Inc. stops near the center entrance to the sun plaza, and Toy story stopped near the walkway to Soarin.

Second stop i only saw that toy story stopped right in front of Golden Vine winery

Third stop Bugs life was right in front of Golden Dreams, Monsters Inc was in front of the exit to Golden Dreams, and Toy story was near the route 66 store. Not sure if there was a fourth stop or not.

This is a nice parade to watch over again because there is so much going on you can't see it all the first time. Also there are 3 sets of floats so i'm sure it would be nice to see what happens at all of them. Plus the stuff in between. The second time we watched it we were by one of the blocks that has incredibles in it (Mr. in the first one, Mrs. in the second one). At the end they shot out some little spongy balls that said beach party blast.

Next we had fun checking out all the murals. They have a lot up. My favorite would have to be the Huge one of 10000 leagues under the sea, too bad it so high up.

My only complaint about some of the murals is you can't see the pics in them. They're either too high, or too far away. Some of them you would probably zoom in with a camera or binoculars, others are too high it would probably be too hard.

We also saw where they have the golden ride vehicles. I saw teacups (in front of mad hatter shop) and Dumbo (where the old Dumbo photo stop is) They have them roped off and covered up, but i'm pretty sure that's what they were. We've also seen a bunch of the 50th symbols and my daughter points out a ton. Of course she found a lot of the murals that I didn't also. She is a lot more observant than I.

Funny story we went out to eat a few weeks ago, and they waitress put some ketchup on a plate. She put three dots and a smile. I turned to Lindsay and asked her, what did she do. Lindsay takes a look and says, she made a mikey and a smile. :earboy2: Of course this is the same kid who told me that it was too bad Walt Disney couldn't be at Disneyland for his 100th birthday because Walt was no longer alive. I asked why she thought that, as I had never told her and she said, because they turned him into a statue.
