A PM is a personal message that you can send to anyone on the DIS. Just click on the DISers name and click "send private message". Unfortunately you need a minimum of 10 posts (I think it's ten) before you can send one. So have fun and post away!

Hoping, for a delay tomorrow!!

They've already cancelled us for tomorrow (Thursday). Apparently a lot of side roads have not been plowed so I'm guessing neither have the schools.

+3 days to make up and it's only Jan 12th

We are closed for tomorrow. This is only our second snow day.

Oh boy...looks like I have a lot of posts to catch up on! Things are so busy right now that I have to limit my DIS time to be sure I am getting things done that have to be done.

NOW , the next best offer could be a Disney cruise visiting Hawaii !!!

Laura - I totally agree! I would LOVE a Disney cruise that visits Hawaii. The bad part would be that I would have to find at least one more job to afford that one!

We will be there that time as well. Maybe we can all meet up.

Hey Janeanne - You will have to let me know what the dates are that you will be there. Where are you staying? Maybe we can figure something out to meet. The hard part is that Jude and I are running the 1/2 marathon and between the race expo, the race and other things, I feel like we are going to be feeling crunched for time this trip. I wish we had more days but I am just happy to get a little taste of WDW in the middle of winter.

I love having all the family pages because it helps me "meet" everyone before we go.

Oh No! Surrounding towns have already started cancelling school for tomorrow. We could see up to 20 inches of snow tonight/tomorrow. That's crazy after getting a foot a few days ago!

Same here.... looks like a repeat of last winter. Waiving the white flag here already!!!

I am sorry for all of you but I am also celebrating that it is not in Minnesota! We have been getting an inch of snow almost every day. Today there was no snow but we have been warned to brace for 4 to 6 inches and then a cold arctic air pattern - this is after our already record snowfalls this winter and I feel like we are already in an arctic air pattern...really...it is going to get colder?

OK, I am not ready for these snow days...I'm a Florida gal...This move to PA is definitely going to be an adjustment...

I would so LOVE to move to Florida...I can't imagine leaving it for PA. I am glad that you found a house though! Wishing you luck that everything goes smoothly.

YEAH, glad it was a snow day here............I was able to call and get a two -bedroom booked for three-nights at Vero Beach today....YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we will be at VB three nights and then the port then the cruise and then WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just saw on the news that 49 states (Hawaii included) have snow on the ground with the exception of Florida. More incentive for us to move there!

I don't need any more incentives...one day I am just going to pack up and leave this arctic tundra that I live in and move to my happy place.

My Family and I will be sailing with you in Aug. We will also be extending our vacation in the world for a few days after the cruise.

Welcome! Glad to see that you are joining us! The FE list is going strong and we would love to have you join us. Once you post a couple more times, you can send me a PM. If you read the first post on this thread, it tells you what information to send to me to get access to our cruise website. As soon as I get your PM, I will add you to the list of cruisers (and the FE list if you want) and send you the directions to access the website. Just a little FYI....there are days where I am too busy to get to the DIS. I do work really hard to get caught up every couple of days though.

It is never too late! Actually, for anyone who hasn't created a family page for the website and wants one....let me know. They are easy to set up, fun for people to put names and faces together and are a great way to "meet" one another before we go.

Here in SUNNY Italy we are about 50° F - which for us means it's quite cold ...

NEW YEAR at school brought me awesome news : my principal wants me to teach full hours each day in two classes ... BUT I get every FRIDAY off !!!!
This means that from now on my weekend starts on Thursday afternoon !! I get 3 days off work every week !!! Not bad huh ? Though I'll have to "work" at home on my students lessons ... it's a GREAT bonus , really loving my principal at the moment !!!!!!

The family page is totally optional...but I would LOVE to do one for you if you want one.

Yep, just use the link on the website because that will allow you to send an e-mail with attachments to me. You can't attach photo files in a PM so the link there works best. I usually create family pages only on the weekend when I can concentrate for an extended time on the task at hand. My weekdays are just way too crazy!

Laura - Does this mean that you will be working longer hours on the other days? Do you have to work more at school or is it just more work at home?

I am happy that you will have LONGER weekends! I would love to work 4-10 hour days and have 3 day weekends!

Hello everyone.
I hope those having a snow day are enjoying their day off!

That is great news Laura. A three day weekend every week sounds wonderful!!

Right now we are dealing with our desktop. It has crashed, and I have all of my documents that I need to print out on them. No fun since I have a meeting tonight and some of the stuff I have on there I need to take with me! And my laptop isn't set up to print anything. Hopefully we can get this thing fixed soon!

Thanks Laura!! I had to put together something new and email to DH to print for me at work. All is good...for now. Hopefully we can get it up and running, because I have another meeting in a couple of weeks that I will need to print alot more stuff for.
