Jen - what are the dates that you are going to Disney in Feb?

Hey Janeanne -

We leave MN on Wednesday, February 23rd and arrive at WDW on the 24th. We have a one-night room only reservation for that night. On the 25th we start our package and will be there until sometime on Monday, 28th.

It is a short trip but should still be fun. We are meeting up with Jude (jbm02). On the 27th, Jude, Paul and I will be running the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon.

How was your cruise on the Freedom?

The Freedom cruise was wonderful!! It really is an amazing ship. We finally were able to hit St Thomas. We weren't able to stop on the Magic in 2008 because of hurricane Omar. So it was really nice to see that.

I missed that!

I posted on the main boards but thought I'd bring it up here; that trip report has pictures of the conceirge level staterooms with a gate across the hallway. Do you think they'll be able to participate in the fish exchange if we can't get to the rooms to leave their goodies?

I love the Enchanted Garden restaurant, can't wait to see it in person.

I saw it....I was hoping that we will not be having to deal with that long of a wait but with a full ship, I imagine that we will be waiting.

I have wondered about how concierge FE gifts will be left since reading long ago that the concierge area would be restricted. I figure we will learn more about it once some of the first cruises take place.

Interesting point on that gate - I don't know? All the restaurants looked great - a little hard to read the menus, but from I could see (food pics) and read - it looks pretty good!

Yeah, Maybe they will set up fish outside the gates that you can hang your FE from!

They should have asked us DIS'ers before designing the ship! Silly DCL!

If the wait times get long and scary, hopefully they'll have all the kinks worked out of the process by the time our cruise comes along....

Really like this:

Shutters: Shutters methods of getting the photos to the passengers has been completely re-designed. And it really looks great too. The pictures are put into each staterooms own personal "Folder" these folders are categorized in color, number, and character such as " Donald, Green, 58" like below. You scan your key to the world card and the computer tells you where your folder is located.

All of your photos are in here, and it saves you valuable relaxation time not having to walk around and search for your photos.

OK, so I live near the beach and we never get snow.....so on Sun. afternoon they canceled school for Mon. (in anticipation of the storm. The weather was nice and clear, just cold) Fortunately, Mon morning it did actually snow, sleet, etc. So it was good that things closed. We only got about an inch or so here (other areas in town got 4 or so inches!) Then they canceled school for today cause they were afraid the roads would be icy. The roads were fine by this afternoon and the snow is pretty much gone! Now they announced schools are closed again tomorrow!!!! I thought maybe they would be delayed, but closed!!! I'm ready for DS to go back to school! They are being overly cautious around here!!
