Hi Everyone!
I found airfare for next month (sept 10-13) 79 one way and 94 the way back. I had to wait to work last night before I had the money to purchase our tickets. This morning, I woke up and it was changed from 79 to 104 and 94 to 104. Any chance in this going back down? Or should I book now before it continues to rise? This has increased us about 100 dollars for our two tickets.

What do you predict? Im so upset right now!

this is what happens on SWA and really most airlines. I was able to snag $69 flights on Delta that are now bouncing back & forth between $225 and $400. You have to keep watching. If it were me, I'd book the $104. If it goes down, you can get a credit against future travel. But, if you wait, you could lose the flight you want and it could go up more!!! You do have Ding installed right?

Anything is possible. I wanted to book my MIL on a flight and all of them were $163. Kept checking other days around the date she wanted and then went back to the original date and there was one fare midday for $59! I grabbed it and went back and they were all $163 again. So I'm guessing someone had cancelled their flight to give us a bargain.

DINGS for SW are already out, so BOOK NOW and Hope for a reduction, because closer you get HIGHER it will go...thats how they work....if they have open seats they will show on either DING or website, which you can check daily..

For September 10th, I'd book now. As a PP said, as it gets closer, the fares will go up. You might get lucky with a Ding or special, and if you do, just rebook and you'll have a credit that you can use during the next year.

I booked our fares about two months out. They did go down once (during a special promotion) and I rebooked and used the savings to buy a ticket for my son to fly to see his grandparents this summer. However, when there wasn't a special once the fare went up, it stayed up and it depends on availabilty.
